Fatigue is an American medical thriller drama television series, written and directed by Edgar Ivanov. The series premiered on HBO.
The series is set in the city of Detroit, when it suddenly becomes engulfed by a viral epidemic, making the personnel of the fictional St. Anne's Hospital fight the deadly disease, as well as deal with the consequences that follow.
Ivanov developed the concept while influenced by films such as Outbreak, Contagion, Carriers, as well as others; his experience during the COVID-19 pandemic also had a strong influence on the story.
Overview
Fatigue is set in Detroit, Michigan, and is centered on the fictitious St. Anne's Hospital, as well as its personnel. A novel viral outbreak starts in East Asia, threatening to soon appear in the United States and start an epidemic there.
The many nurses and doctors see major decline in society, civil unrest, mass and sheer panicking, lots of misinformation, as well lots of cases, and now they are just hoping for the vaccine to be found soon enough.
