Fandroid: The Movie is a 2021 upcoming science-fiction adventure romantic comedy musical film based on the characters of Fandroid by Griffinilla, directed by Gary Rydstrom and produced by Paul Young and Drew Williams, with feature animation by Paramount Animation and Reel FX Animation Studios.
The film stars Josh Brener, Emma Tate, Tim Robbins, T.J. Miller, Anna Kendrick, Kevin McHale, Jonah Hill, Blake Shelton, Darren Criss, Bobby Brown, Hana Mae Lee, Phillip Phillips, Jake Hager, Camila Cabello, GloZell Lyneette Green, Madonna and more several artists/singers such as Michael J. Woodard.
The score was composed by Theodore Shapiro, Marc Shaiman, Trent Reznor and Griffinilla. Fandroid: The Movie was originally intended for a theatrical release in the United States on September 10th, 2021, as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Also the film is scheduled for a digital release on Netflix later in the same year.

The not-so-great Fandroid (Josh Brener), a real musical robot who lives in the city filled with robots, can be described as curious and childish and he enjoys undirty joking and making people laugh, along with a good-hearted small flying robot, Melody (Emma Tate). He likes to sing every songs while fun and wonderfulness - everyday. One of him secret life, at the graduation day, but he is accidentally. Fandroid moving alone to the new town, and her girl robot, Missybot (Anna Kendrick), along with their friends in the talent show, but sometimes, he got a big accident, to saving the talent show.
Act 1: Graduation Day
Fandroid (Josh Brener), an trustworthy smart robot who lives in Rustno, Wheelifornia (which as a parodied the city, Fresno) and he woke up to his alarm, turning it off, and went ahead and started with his usual morning routine. He was humming a little tune as he was cleaning his screen and wearing his cap, and went off into the kitchen, he went drinking some sodas for today, which using the long stirrer straw to his ear, and his boost was fulfilled, slipped on his backpack, and said goodbye to his parents (Jonah Hill and Madonna) before heading off to school. His little hum had now escalated to a full-on song, with the citizens of the city joining in, wrapping it up just as he walked into the schoolyard. Afterward, Fan meets his old friend, Shapoor (Dianna Agron) during high school graduation ceremony where talking about predicting the future times.
Act 2: Graduation Party
After the school day, since it was graduation day, there was a party afterwards, so Fandroid was there with his old friends at the bar. His old friends discuss about their favorite songs, and one of his friend enthuse about that time his old friend participated the talent show, Robot's Most Talented, and his another old friend found in the website, that the news was announcing the new season of the talent show, auditions for a place on the show will be held in Los Chromeles, Fandroid is excited to want to auditioning the talent, however, until finally, he is accidentally spills beer on his one of the old friend's leg. Fandroid feels uncomfortable and embarassed, Shapoor startled to his accidental and she confronts to leaving Fandroid.
As Fandroid singing the reprise, Fandroid sad and walking slowly while it's raining, everything around the town becomes bad, and he's arrived at home. His parents are shocked while Fandroid was frowning, he tells what happened to her, and he asks to allowing to moving to a new city for good, the parents hugging Fandroid.
Act 3: Moving Day
His parents farewells to Fandroid, to he is moving the new city, and Fandroid singing the song about moving day without his parents. Five to six hours later, finally, the van arrives to a new city, Los Chromeles, as the song ends, an excited Fandroid gets off the van and showing his new house, and he is relaxing their new bed.
Act 4: Fandroid meets Melody
Few hours later since after his moving, Fandroid calls the sub sandwich delivery, and delivery arrives at his home, delivery says need to pay. He decide to delay the sandwich so that he can get it for free. However, Fandroid looks right to sees a strange pink object like a disc-shape cleaning robot, he is turning on the object, and he is freaks out cause the weird object was flowing away. She is Melody (Emma Tate), the smart and cleaning small flying pink robot, and she began to sing. As the song ends, Fandroid almost called the police but Melody is not allowed to calling the police, Fandroid was enraged to get out Melody. Fandroid throws Melody away from the window, Fandroid continues to eat sandwich, but Melody come in from the house again. Fandroid was refusing to get out of her and Melody didn't catch by him, Fandroid chasing Melody around the house. Fandroid was tired to chasing Melody, Melody is finally promised to Fandroid.
The sky's goes dark, Fandroid take a break while reading the newspaper at home, and he is found the drivers license advertisement. He is turning on the television, and when he see an ad for new season of Robot's Most Talented, and Fandroid Fandroid was excited to want to join the show for that ad.
Act 5: Driving License
In the next morning, Fandroid warming up at the yard, then, Melody wakes up and she asks to when going to driving license for Fandroid. He doing jogging around the residence to finds a drivers' license car, Fandroid goes where his instructor told him to meet. Fandroid gets in the car, looks around for nothing happens, and he is turning on the air conditioner and radio, but it went not working due to engine is not started. The driver instructor (GloZell Lyneette Green) coming through in the car, his instructor explaining how the test will work. He went turning on the radio and the radio person says the next song is the retro hits. Fandroid singing the song from the radio, driver instructor joining in and Melody also join at home while cleaning. As the test passed, Fandroid and driver instructor gets off the car to singing the song and the citizens joining in.
The man who wearing a coat while holding a magazine and he sees the people singing the song before the song ends. Abruptly, the man slow clapping after the song, he unwearing a coat and revealing Hex (Lucas Grabeel) to inviting the party at the nightclub for Fandroid.

Paramount bought the film rights for producers Paul Young in August 2016, one year before Fandroid was released. John August was set to write the script for the film, which Paul would produce. Gary Rydstrom signed on to direct the film. Initially, Paul Young had decided to make a film adaptation of short film, Drive Me, with Charlie Tahan attached to star, which set to be released in 2019. After a failed animation test in January 2017, Will Davies was hired to rewrite the John's screenplay. Will decided to send the script to Paramount Animation, with whom he had worked in Monster Trucks, and he approved it, leading to a green-light by Paramount Pictures.
In August 2017, Drew Williams pitched an idea for a film was based on a Youtuber, which Gary accepted the idea for animated film. Initially, scheduled to be released on August 2020, and Reel FX Animation was accepted to animating the film. On the film's plot, director Gary Rydstrom stated, "The film full of Youtubers, including Minecraft, so that was catchy.". Drew replied, "So I saw the one of the video, he is a robot who singing - oh yeah, he is Fandroid!". Gary also replied, "That's right, Fandroid loves music!". It accepted Fandroid accepted from the animated feature film.
One of the biggest inspirations for the film's soundtrack, Trolls (2016), Drew revealed: "The song is pretty catchy, while I am dancing and singing, unlike Hairspray, for every robots goes on musical? Yeah, I will gaved it." Many of the songs that did make it into the film were tweaked to help tell the story such as "Wake Me Up" by Avicii.
On November 5, 2017, T.J. Miller had been casted for an unknown role. On December 19, 2017, Jonah Hill joined the voice cast of the film, In April 2018, it was announced that Kevin McHale and Anna Kendrick had joined the cast of the film, which Kevin and Anna would provide an original song for the film. In November 2018, it was also announced that Jake Hager, Bobby Brown, Darren Criss, Phillip Phillips and Blake Shelton had casted, and they will perform an original song. In April 2019, new cast members have been announced, which include: Hana Mae Lee, Dianna Agron, Cody Simpson, Julia Lester, GloZell Lyneette Green, Lucas Grabeel, Juicy J and Camila Cabello.
In June 2019, Josh Brener was cast in the film's lead voice role as the voice of Fandroid, and that Emma Tate would voice Melody, will also perform an original song. In July 2019, Drew announced the popular singer Madonna announced she was in the cast and also perform an original soundtrack. In September 2019, Tim Robbins joined the cast for a villain, David Bates, the parody of David Gates.
In February 2020, Drew had the film features over the pop and other genre songs in this musical film. On the same month, Michael J. Woodard has been casted in this film.
Paramount Animation had originally planned to release the film theatrically in the United States on August 7th, 2020. But due to the COVID-19 outbreak, it was delayed to September 24th, 2021. On January 2, the date was pushed back to September 10th. Also, released streaming on Netflix in September 3rd.

The sequel, Fandroid: The Movie 2 is scheduled to be released on September 2023, with both Gary Rydstrom and Drew Williams possibly returning to direct and write the film, also the cast possibly reprise their roles. In the first day of June, Seth Meyers, Rebecca Black, Nina West, Nikki Blonsky, Ken Jeong, Manu Narayan, Brad Kavanagh, Colin MacFarlane, Ashley Tisdale and Pamela Anderson possibly casted the film as an unknown roles.
