Transcript[]
{The episode starts with Nick in a white tux coming by with a dark masquerade mask and silver dark cape}
Nicole Scherzinger: Wow! Looks great!
Fred Jones: Yep, it sure does.
{Soon, Nick took off his masquerade and cape}
Shaggy Rogers: Like, there's the host himself!
Velma Dinkley: Must I say, he's got a lovely haircut.
Nick Cannon: Welcome to The Masked Singer.
Daphne Blake: Everyone is so stoked that this is the Group C championships.
Nick Cannon: And only four singers remain.
Fred Jones: Only one person will not move on.
Scooby Doo: The rest get to stay for now.
Shaggy Rogers: And, like, if you forgot who's competing, we will tell you.
Nick Cannon: Yep. Tonight, we got a feisty T-Rex, an Astronaut that's out of this world, a Rhino with an incredible range, and a Night Angel with a heavenly voice.
Fred Jones: Don't forget to say hello to the panel.
Nicole Scherzinger: Hi, guys!
{Robin and Ken wore black, Jenny wore pink, and Nicole wore sparkly blue}
Nick Cannon: And who is our guest panelist this week?
Shaggy Rogers: Like, this guy is a really good actor that knows Batman.
Fred Jones: And he is a host of a LEGO game show.
Velma Dinkley: Everyone welcome...
{The guest mask was revealed to be Will Arnett}
Daphne Blake: Will Arnett!
Fred Jones: We are so stoked to have a LEGO star here.
Daphne Blake: Now, everyone knows that after every Masked Singer, you get to see his show "LEGO Masters."
Will Arnett: Thank you. Great to be here, man. And, you got The Mystery Gang here.
Ken Jeong: That was the first standing O of any guest panelist in the history of the show.
Daphne Blake: Well, I mean, he his very famous to sound like Lego Batman.
Ken Jeong: It's more like a mandatory standing ovation in the show.
Will Arnett: You know what I always say.
Shaggy Rogers: Like, no. What do you always say, man?
Will Arnett: If you want a standing O, all you have to do is ask.
Shaggy Rogers: Like, that's true.
Nick Cannon: Okay. Our theme is all about building. Building character and relationships.
Velma Dinkley: That's one of the main reasons why we are kicking off the show for the Group C championships.
Nick Cannon: Y'all ready for this?
Fred Jones: We certainly are.
Nick Cannon: Astronaut, T-Rex, Rhino, and Night Angel are fierce competitors.
Scooby Doo: And we might not know who they are yet, but we get to hear what they sound like still.
Nick Cannon: Here to perform a Jennifer Lopez anthem, one single request, "Let's Get Loud."
{Let's Get Loud by Jennifer Lopez song plays}
Night Angel, Astronaut, T-Rex, and Rhino: Let's get loud, let's get loud. Ain't nobody gotta tell you what you gotta do.
Night Angel: If you want to live your life, live it all the way, and don't you waste it.
Rhino: Every feeling, every beat can be so very sweet, you gotta taste it.
Night Angel: You gotta do it.
Rhino: You gotta prove it.
T-Rex: You gotta do it.
Astronaut: Life's a party, make it hot. Can dance, don't ever stop, won't have a rhythm.
T-Rex: Every minute, every day, take them all the way, you gotta live 'em, 'cause I'm gonna live my life.
Astronaut: You gotta do it.
T-Rex: You gotta prove it.
Rhino: You gotta do it.
Night Angel: You gotta prove it.
Night Angel, Astronaut, T-Rex, and Rhino: Let's get loud, let's get loud. Ain't nobody gotta tell you what you gotta do.
{Let's Get Loud by Jennifer Lopez song ends}
Shaggy Rogers: Like, ain't that wonderful?
Nick Cannon: Wow!
Velma Dinkley: That was energy packed.
Fred Jones: I guess it was loud.
Daphne Blake: Was it loud for you, Will?
Will Arnett: That was one of the weirdest things I've seen.
Velma Dinkley: Well, that's what the show is sometimes like.
Scooby Doo: Yep, filled with emotion and excitement.
Jenny McCarthy: Yeah, and three of you guys get to go to the Super Nine.
Velma Dinkley: And one does not, but that's okay.
Fred Jones: And just like from the other group finals, we get to hear some of their friends or maybe their teacher.
Nick Cannon: That's right.
Daphne Blake: Now, who is first?
Nick Cannon: Well, let's check out some clues from a close personal friend of the Night Angel.
{Night Angel's clue background is shown again}
Night Angel: Becoming the Night Angel has been so therapeutic. I've been doing this since I was a teen, but I've never felt as free as I do under this mask. Here's a friend from high school to tell you a little more about those early days.
{Night Angel's Friend is a disco ball in a tux}
Night Angel's Friend: Night Angel always had to juggle school with chasing her dream, so she missed out on a lot, like senior prom. {There was a black rotary phone} (Jenny McCarthy: So, she's been going on since she was a kid.) But one thing she was determined not to miss was earning her diploma. {There was an astronomy test paper that got an A+} (Fred Jones: Whoa, an A+?)(Shaggy Rogers: Like, that's Velma's personality. Very clever.) Our graduation conflicted with a huge career opportunity for her, but she refused to miss that day she'd worked so hard for because that's just Night Angel. She's always stayed true to herself despite the fame that's come her way. So girl, you've earned this. Get out there and shout your talent from that stage.
{We now see Night Angel on stage}
Daphne Blake: I have no clue who it is, but she might be a smart person.
Velma Dinkley: That girl, I really think I want her to win.
Nicole Scherzinger: Whoa, really?
Velma Dinkley: Really.
Fred Jones: {V.O} Coming up, Night Angel and the three other performers will sing their own songs. We get to hear who they are connected to, and later, we will find out who the thirty-seventh contestant eliminated is.
{Commercial break}
{Commercial break ends}
Nick Cannon: Get on your feet for the Night Angel.
{Shout by Isley Brothers song plays}
Night Angel: Well, you know you make me wanna {Backup singers: Shout!} Kick my heels up and {Backup singers: Shout!} Throw my hands up and {Backup singers: Shout!} Throw my head back and {Backup singers: Shout!} (Robin Thicke: Wait, I know that voice.) Come on, now {Backup singers: Shout!} Don't forget to say you will. Don't forget to say yeah - ahh, yeah - ahh. Say it right now, baby. Come on, come on, say it, baby {Vocalizes}. Say that you love me. {Backup singers: Say!} Say that you need me. {Backup singers: Say!} Say that you want me. {Backup singers: Say!} You wanna please me. {Backup singers: Say!} Come on, now. Come on, now. Come on, now. (Daphne Blake: Let this angel be the winner of the whole thing.) {Backup singers: Shout!} (Velma Dinkley: I agree.) I want you to know. I said I want you to know right now! (Will Arnett: Alright!) You been good to me, baby. Better than I been to myself hey, hey! (Ken Jeong: This is someone for years.)(Daphne Blake: From singing perfectly.) And if you ever leave me, baby, I don't want nobody else, no, no, no. I want you to know, know, know, know, know. I want you to know, know, know, know, know, know. You make we wanna {Backup singers: Shout!} Oohh! {Backup singers: Shout!} Oohh! {Backup singers: Shout!} Oohh! Oohh-oh-oh! {Backup singers: Shout!} (Velma Dinkley: She really has a falsetto.)(Shaggy Rogers: Like, she might break a glass.) Oohh! {Backup singers: Shout!} Oohh! {Backup singers: Shout!} Oohh! Oohh-oh-oh! Yeah-ah! Clap your hands now. Clap your hands now. With me if you want to shout. Ooohh!
{Shout by Isley Brothers song ends}
Fred Jones: Go big or go home, Night Angel.
Shaggy Rogers: Like, whoa!
Jenny McCarthy: She slays.
Nick Cannon: She set it up, up in here.
Daphne Blake: Yep, right up in the heavens.
Velma Dinkley: Nick, I really think I have my favorite.
Jenny McCarthy: Wait, you do?
Velma Dinkley: Not only that, she might be in the Super Nine.
Jenny McCarthy: Yeah, and you are going to win this entire competition.
Will Arnett: Wow.
Robin Thicke: I agree. I know that voice, I cannot place it yet, but luckily, she is not going home tonight.
Shaggy Rogers: Like, a good suggestion.
Night Angel: {Touched sighs} Every time I step out on the stage, I'm a ball of nerves.
Jenny McCarthy: Wow.
Night Angel: I still struggle with confidence while singing. Your words have bring my confidence to new heights. Thank you.
Daphne Blake: Well, that's just like emotional moments from romance movies.
Nick Cannon: Quite an emotional response but apparently, Night Angel has some interesting connections with one of our panelists to help us guess.
Velma Dinkley: Ken, calm down.
Shaggy Rogers: Like, how about we connected them with LEGO versions?
Nick Cannon: That's a good idea. Men in black, please reveal the clue.
{The man comes by, goes behind the panel, and opens a black box that shows a LEGO Night Angel with Jenny by the words "Good Times"}
Daphne Blake: Hmm, who's this?
Nicole Scherzinger: That's definitely Jenny.
Velma Dinkley: The yellow hair gave it all the way.
Night Angel: Jenny, I say your name because I've heard you say my name often on your show.
Fred Jones: Hmm, a talk show guest.
Jenny McCarthy: You know what? That narrowed it down to about 7,540 people.
Daphne Blake: Well, it has to be just one person.
Jenny McCarthy: Well, if I'm going to go off her amazing voice, this is someone I interviewed on my show. She has a strong powerful voice.
Shaggy Rogers: Like, she does.
Jenny McCarthy: In the last package, there was a heart and there was a song called "Un-Break My Heart."
Velma Dinkley: Yeah, that heart was broken.
Jenny McCarthy: And that immediately made me think of Ms. Toni Braxton.
{A picture of Toni Braxton is shown next to Night Angel}
Nicole Scherzinger: That's not bad.
Scooby Doo: And, what about that strawberry? Is that her favorite thing to put on her favorite drinks?
Nicole Scherzinger: Well, last week, I said Taraji P. Henson.
Nick Cannon: You did.
Nicole Scherzinger: And this week, she got an A+ in astronomy. Taraji P. Henson was in "Hidden Figures" and she played a scientist. She can sing too.
{A picture of Taraji P. Henson is shown next to Night Angel}
Jenny McCarthy: Ooh.
Nicole Scherzinger: Yes, thank you.
Fred Jones: So, what about that rotary phone clue?
Velma Dinkley: How about we let Will say a guess?
Will Arnett: I was just thinking I'm waiting for the penny to drop, and then I thought Penny is the name of Janet Jackson's character in "Good Times."
Fred Jones: That could be.
Will Arnett: But in the clip package, she said she had to "juggle school" and "chasing her dream," and it really made me think of somebody who performed a lot as a kid. Back then, she was shooting this show "Blossom," you all know her from "Big Bang Theory," I thought Mayim Bialik. I think that's Mayim Bialik.
{A picture of Mayim Bialik is shown next to Night Angel}
Ken Jeong: I don't know.
Jenny McCarthy: No way.
Daphne Blake: I rather liked your Janet Jackson guess.
Velma Dinkley: Okay, so maybe it is her.
Will Arnett: What? Janet?
Velma Dinkley: I think in my head you know might say "Perhaps, this is Janet Jackson."
{A picture of Janet Jackson is shown next to Night Angel}
Fred Jones: Okay, a nice singer.
Daphne Blake: But, what does she got to do with a castle?
Nick Cannon: Ladies and gentlemen, keep it going for the Night Angel.
Nicole Scherzinger: Wow!
Ken Jeong: She's great.
Scooby Doo: She is totally great indeed.
{We now see guesses for Night Angel}
Nick Cannon: Our panel named all kinds of big stars for the Night Angel. What do you think?
Night Angel: I'm definitely a fighter, and I'm gonna prove Jenny right. I'm definitely gonna take this thing all the way to the end.
{Commercial break}
{Commercial break ends}
Nick Cannon: Welcome back to The Masked Singer. Last week, Astronaut's performance had the panel over the moon guessing, but are you still spacing on celebrity guesses? Here's a few more clues from one who knows him best, it's the Astronaut's co-pilot.
{Astronaut's clue background is shown again}
Astronaut: When I started this journey, I never knew how at-home I would feel in this space suit. It makes me kind of forget I'm still only human. (Nicole Scherzinger: "Only Human." That's a Jonas Brothers song.) But here's my bro-pilot who knows that better than anyone.
{Astronaut's Bro-Pilot was a moon}
Astronaut: Astro is a great captain. He knows how to lead a crew. {There was a coffee cup surrounded by coffee beans} (Fred Jones: Coffee?)(Daphne Blake: So, is he from Seattle?) {Two dices made 2 fives making it 10} But sometimes he can be a total space cadet. One time, in front of thousands of people, he took a huge nose dive and fell flat on his face. Anyone else would have said bye, bye, bye, called it quits. {There was a little wooden bridge} (Velma Dinkley: A bridge?)(Will Arnett: "Nash Bridges.") But not Astro. He got right back up. No stumble can stop him from reaching for the Moon, and the same goes for that golden mask.
{We now see Astronaut on stage}
Fred Jones: Okay, so many references to singers, but who is from Seattle that can sing like that?
{Shape of You by Ed Sheeran song plays}
Astronaut: The club isn't the best place to find a lover, so the bar is where I go. (Fred Jones: This person right here, Will, is a real young singer.) Me and my friends at the table, doing shots, drinkin' fast and then we talk slow. You come over and start up a conversation with just me and trust me, I'll give it a chance. Now take my hand, stop put van the man on the jukebox and then we start to dance. And now I'm singing like, girl, you know I want your love. Your love was handmade for somebody like me. Come on now, follow my lead, I may be crazy, don't mind me. (Shaggy Rogers: Like, nice moving, Astronaut.) Say, boy, let's not talk too much, grab on my waist and put that body on me. Come on now, follow my lead. Come on now, follow my lead. (Nicole Scherzinger: Whoo!) I'm in love with the shape of you. We can push and pull like a magnet do. Although my heart is falling too. I'm in love with your body. Last night, you were in my room. And now my bed sheets smell like you. Every day discovering something new. I'm in love with your body. I'm in love oohh-ooh, I'm in love, uhh, I'm in love. I'm in love. (Daphne Blake: That's some good pipes.) Every day discovering something new. I'm in love with the shape of you.
{Shape of You by Ed Sheeran song ends}
Nicole Scherzinger: Hey!
Velma Dinkley: You know, that wasn't so bad.
Daphne Blake: That really was out of this world.
Nick Cannon: Astronaut.
{Everyone chanted for Astronaut}
Nick Cannon: Way to set it off.
Velma Dinkley: Now, Nicole, did you like the song?
Nicole Scherzinger: You're just getting better and better.
Velma Dinkley: Even by the moment, it is perfect.
Ken Jeong: That's the first flirt of the series.
Fred Jones: Ain't that great, Will?
Will Arnett: I'm happy to be here for it. Sure.
Daphne Blake: I bet that in Nicole's doubt, you might be in the next round.
Nicole Scherzinger: Yep, for sure, Astro.
Fred Jones: That's a real good suggestion.
Astronaut: Thank you so much for believing in me. I've shown different parts of my heart from each performance, and if I'm blessed to make it to the Super Nine, I'll make sure the whole world gets to see my heart.
Nicole Scherzinger: Oh my god, I love him!
Velma Dinkley: Same to some of us.
Fred Jones: It seems like this spaceman has won Nicole's heart.
Nick Cannon: All right, men in black. Reveal the clue.
Jenny McCarthy: Here they come again.
Daphne Blake: Behind us.
{A man in black came by and opened a big black box showing Astronaut and Nicole by the word "Mall"}
Jenny McCarthy: "Mall?"
Daphne Blake: And, I think it is Nicole.
Nick Cannon: Talk to us, Astronaut.
Astronaut: Well, Nicole.
Daphne Blake: {Sing-song} I told you.
Ken Jeong: Don't you wish your Lego was hot like mine?
Fred Jones: Not now, Ken.
Scooby Doo: Don't embarrass her too much.
Astronaut: So, remember, when we were both together to celebrate a huge birthday.
Daphne Blake: Ooh, this feels like a party time vibe.
Shaggy Rogers: Like, this is one person that Pinkie Pie, a friend of ours, would love to hear.
Jenny McCarthy: Well, have you performed with him?
Daphne Blake: Who would you celebrate a birthday at a mall with?
Shaggy Rogers: Like, it's not a bit like our party.
Scooby Doo: Yeah, we just have it in our house.
Nick Cannon: Any other clues that you guys are picking up on?
Fred Jones: Well, anyone?
Daphne Blake: It has to match with the clues.
Ken Jeong: To me, the dice total 10, which is the name of Pearl Jam's first album named "10."
Will Arnett: Right.
Ken Jeong: This might be my favorite singer of all time, could be Pearl Jam's Eddie Vedder.
{A picture of Eddie Vedder is shown next to Astronaut}
Jenny McCarthy: No.
Fred Jones: What about that Orion on the flag?
Shaggy Rogers: Like, no way it is him.
Ken Jeong: No, it is. He's for MTV, VMAs, he is dressed like one of his awards, performing like one of his awards.
Scooby Doo: Okay, and let's hope we can hear another guess.
Ken Jeong: I'm alive with Eddie Vedder, yo.
Nick Cannon: Whoa.
Will Arnett: That was insanity.
Daphne Blake: I think we need another guess.
Will Arnett: Well, I remember that there are 5 members of NSYNC.
Fred Jones: And, Rabbit was one of them.
Will Arnett: So, I think it's JC Chasez.
{A picture of JC Chasez is shown next to Astronaut}
Fred Jones: He was a guess on who the Rabbit was and who the Rottweiler was.
Jenny McCarthy: That's good, that's good.
Daphne Blake: But, what does he got to do with a toolbox?
Robin Thicke: Well, you know, I guess this person last week and there was a new clue today of a bridge, and this very talented man played a French man who walked across the World Trade Centers in the walk on a tightrope. And, there was also a cup of Joe and he was in "G.I. Joe."
Velma Dinkley: Really?
Robin Thicke: So, I'm gonna stick with Joesph Gordon-Levitt.
{A picture of Joesph Gordon-Levitt is shown next to Astronaut}
Nicole Scherzinger: Yeah, I think that's good.
Velma Dinkley: Okay, but what about the number 10 that the two dice made?
Nick Cannon: Well, whoever you are, Astronaut, you rock the stage. Ladies and gentlemen, keep it going for the Astronaut.
{We now see guesses for Astronaut}
Nick Cannon: Our panel was all over the galaxy with their guesses. What do you think?
Astronaut: They get the feedback is a huge accomplishment, and I really want the shot to compete in the Super Nine.
Daphne Blake: I bet you will love seeing him, Nicole.
Nicole Scherzinger: I do.
Fred Jones: {V.O} Coming up, two more performances from the other performers. And later, we will find out who the thirty-seventh contestant eliminated will be.
{Commercial break}
{Commercial break ends}
Nick Cannon: Welcome back to The Masked Singer. It's our Group C championships. Now, let's check out some clues from a close personal friend of the T-Rex.
{T-Rex's clue background is shown again}
T-Rex: What's up, everyone? I've been working my tail off in this competition, and being so close to the Super Nine feels absolutely rex-cellent! I know someone in particular who'd be very proud of all my hard work, so listen up as he serves you the inside scoop.
{T-Rex's coach was an in-flight meal tray}
T-Rex's Coach: I've spent a lot of time with T-Rex. We worked together, we traveled together. (Robin Thicke: Airplane food face.) And let me tell you, she subscribes to the idea that there is no off day. {There were some boomerangs} (Velma Dinkley: That still gives me YouTuber vibes.)(Daphne Blake: Hey, look, boomerangs. Is she Australian?) I have never met anyone so meticulous, especially someone her age. {There were some chips and crisps in blue sprinkles} She is such a perfectionist. At rehearsals, if someone messes up, we start all over again. Even though she's young, she's got fans of all ages and always knows how to win over a crowd. {Some little lips float down to a glass by little army tanks} (Will Arnett: Lips.)(Ken Jeong: "Lip Sync Battle.")(Fred Jones: Has she won a lip sync battle competition?) So TT, do your thing, and I'll see you soon with that golden mask.
{We now see T-Rex on stage}
Daphne Blake: I've never seen a lip sync battle before.
{Jai Ho! You Are My Destiny by A.R. Rahman and The Pussycat Dolls song plays}
T-Rex: (Shaggy Rogers: Like, cool song.)(Nicole Scherzinger: Hey!)(Jenny McCarthy: Your song.) I got, shivers, when you touch my face. It's gettin' hot, get all you got, I'll make you wanna say. {Backup singers: Jai Ho! Jai Ho!} (Fred Jones: She doesn't want to stop.) I got, fever, running like a fire. For you, I will go all the way, I wanna take you higher. {Backup singers: Jai Ho!} I'll keep it steady, 'cause steady is how I do it. {Backup singers: Jai Ho!} This beat is heavy, so heavy you're gonna feel it. {Backup singers: Jai Ho!} You are the reason that I breathe. {Backup singers: Jai Ho!} You are the reason that I still believe. (Ken Jeong: Wow! She can go!) You are my destiny. Jai Ho, oh-oh-oh. (Nicole Scherzinger: Yes!) Catch me, catch me, catch me, c'mon, catch me, I want you now. I know you can save me, c'mon, save me, I need you now. I am yours forever, yes, forever I will follow. (Velma Dinkley: Let's go, T-Rex!) Anyway, anywhere, never gonna let go. {Backup singers: Jai Ho!} I need you, gonna make it. I'm ready, so take it. {Backup singers: Jai Ho!} You are the reason that I breathe. {Backup singers: Jai Ho!} You are the reason that I still believe. You are my destiny. Jai Ho, oh-oh-oh. {Backup singers: Jai Ho!} Baila, baila! Jai Ho!
{Jai Ho! You Are My Destiny by A.R. Rahman and The Pussycat Dolls song ends}
Velma Dinkley: Jinkies! That was something awesome from the past.
Fred Jones: She really does have destiny in herself.
{Everyone chanted for T-Rex}
Shaggy Rogers: Like, what did you think, Nicole? It's your song.
Nicole Scherzinger: Yeah, it is. I co-wrote that song for the movie "Slumdog Millionaire."
Robin Thicke: Yeah.
Nicole Scherzinger: And that's why I never heard it. I've never seen it.
Scooby Doo: Well, at least you know how the song sounds.
Shaggy Rogers: Like, that sounded like the most related song to India, because it had a bit of India music.
T-Rex: Well, you know, at The Masked Singer, you're judged by your performance and not by your name, and I'm not kidding you. I've literally stayed up past midnight every single night, so making it to the Super Nine would mean all my hard work has paid off.
Fred Jones: Okay, that's a long way past bedtime.
Nick Cannon: Men in black, reveal the clue.
{A man comes by and opens up revealing a Lego T-Rex and Will by the word "Poodle"}
Fred Jones: Hmm, Margaret Cho?
Daphne Blake: Does she know Margaret?
T-Rex: The connection is with Will.
Velma Dinkley: Really? Why?
T-Rex: Because Lego Batman is how we, are connected.
Velma Dinkley: So, she could be someone in the movie that Will played Batman.
Will Arnett: Well, we did one and we ran out.
Ken Jeong: Oh.
Robin Thicke: {Laughs}
Nick Cannon: Will, could this be someone that was possibly in one of those films with you?
Will Arnett: Oh man, I'm just trying to think, "Lego Batman."
Velma Dinkley: Who are some of the actresses in that movie?
Will Arnett: Zoë Kravitz potentially.
{A picture of Zoë Kravitz is shown next to T-Rex}
Will Arnett: Jenny Slate.
{A picture of Jenny Slate is shown next to T-Rex}
Will Arnett: Ellie Kemper.
{A picture of Ellie Kemper is shown next to T-Rex}
Fred Jones: Did any of those celebs got anything to do with those clues?
Nick Cannon: Just one person, Will.
Will Arnett: I like what you said that you're very dedicated, that you stayed up, so that shows a lot of discipline that makes me think like a gymnast.
Velma Dinkley: Well, she does seem very physical.
Will Arnett: Gabby Douglas, something like that.
Fred Jones: Really?
Will Arnett: I'm gonna go with a gymnast and I think it's Gabby.
{A picture of Gabby Douglas is shown next to T-Rex}
Daphne Blake: She was a guess on who the Unicorn was.
Fred Jones: But, what does she got to do with those boomerangs?
Jenny McCarthy: I think T-Rex looks taller than Gabby. Based off the clue packages each week, I started at Maddie Ziegler and she's from "Dance Moms," but there's a lot of Kardashian clues.
Daphne Blake: And don't forget, I think one Kardashian has someone named North West.
Jenny McCarthy: Yes. And then I went, "Aha!" Kim Kardashian brought North West to this girl's house because North West is a huge fan. There's also "Boomerang" is a hit song of hers, so I'm going with JoJo Siwa.
{A picture of JoJo Siwa is shown next to T-Rex}
Daphne Blake: Oh my gosh. I think so because I love her hairstyles!
Nicole Scherzinger: I think it's JoJo as well.
Fred Jones: That could make sense because a Kardashian's daughter would love to sing and maybe she inspired the daughter to sing.
Velma Dinkley: Okay, let's let Ken say a ridiculous and funny guess.
Ken Jeong: First off, my guesses are not funny. I'm noticing all that food in the jet, and I'm thinking myself "You got chips, you got salt."
{Nick and T-Rex mimics Ken's movement}
Ken Jeong: You got cheese, you got mozzarella sticks, and then now, you know, I'm sorry, I'm thinking it could be Honey Boo Boo.
{A picture of Honey Boo Boo is shown next to T-Rex}
Ken Jeong: Maybe. Just hear me out.
Daphne Blake: Okay, and why could it be her?
Ken Jeong: She's grown up, yo.
Jenny McCarthy: She does have a song out, Ken.
Shaggy Rogers: Like, a reality TV star singing like that?
Daphne Blake: What do those lips falling into a glass by some tanks mean?
Nick Cannon: One thing we do know, she brought the energy, she brought the fun. Make some noise!
Fred Jones: For the very energetic dinosaur, T-Rex.
{We now see guesses for T-Rex}
Nick Cannon: Our panel think one of these fierce ladies could be under the T-Rex mask. What do you think?
T-Rex: The panel may think that I'm a little kid, but let me tell you, I'm larger than life coming in for the kill. Rawr!
{Commercial break}
{Commercial break ends}
{T-Rex was talking to one of the contestants}
T-Rex: Hey, scaredy-cat, When I hit to the Super Nine, you'll be nothing but a snack. Roar!
{We now return to Nick}
Nick Cannon: Welcome back to The Masked Singer. We're just one episode away from our Super Nine event. Only three of tonight's group C singers will make it. Next up, the Rhino. And, if you still haven't figured him out, let's hear from someone who knew Rhino from way back when, it's his college best bud.
{Rhino's clue background is shown again}
Rhino: Despite rising to the top of my field, I've struggled with constant criticism. So being here and receiving so much praise is beyond humbling. Few people have been by my side throughout the ups and downs quite like my college roommate.
{Rhino's college friend is a beachball}
Rhino's College Friend: Rhino was the first person I met when in college. (Jenny McCarthy: Party bud.) We both had never surfed before but wanted to try it out. {Rhino is surfing} We thought it would be a walk in the park. But when we hit the waves, we were terrible at it. (Fred Jones: Hmm, does he surf?) For me, it was hopeless. {There were three quarters on a cooler next to an arrow} (Velma Dinkley: Maybe he's a football player.)(Jenny McCarthy: Yeah, a quarterback.) But Rhino kept at it and became a beast out there. The babes just couldn't resist his sick moves. {The planet Mars wore a cowboy hat} (Daphne Blake: Mars?) But real talk, that's just Rhino. When he wants to accomplish something, he'll outwork anyone. {The state of Missouri is shown} (Will Arnett: That's Missouri for sure.)(Shaggy Rogers: Like, maybe he's from that state.) He might look like a tough beast. But trust me, he's a total softy who wears his heart on his sleeve. (Nicole Scherzinger: Awww.) I know how important this is to him. So I really hope he rides this wave all the way to the end.
{We now see Rhino on stage}
Daphne Blake: I wonder what Mars mean to Rhino? He definitely not went to space, did he?
{Tracks of My Tears by Smokey Robinson and The Miracles song plays}
Rhino: People say I'm the life of the party 'cause I tell a joke or two. And although I might be laughing, loud and hearty, deep inside, I'm blue. (Ken Jeong: Wow.) So take a, look, at my face. You'll see my smile, looks, out of place. And if you get closer, it's easy to trace, the tracks of my tears. (Nicole Scherzinger: Oh my god.) Since you left me, if you see me with another girl. Seeming like I'm having fun. Though she may be cute, she's just a substitute 'cause you're the perfect one. (Daphne Blake: Now, he really knows how to calm everyone down.) So take a, look, at my face. You'll see my smile, looks, out of place. And if you get closer, it's easy to trace, the tracks of my tears. Oh, oh, the tracks of my tears.
{Tracks of My Tears by Smokey Robinson and The Miracles song ends}
Fred Jones: Hey, not bad.
Velma Dinkley: That's a good slow song.
Nick Cannon: Rhino getting the fan love.
{Everyone chanted for Rhino}
Shaggy Rogers: Like, Jenny, what did you think of this song?
Jenny McCarthy: For such a big guy, it's amazing how you got me with all the feels inside.
Fred Jones: Yeah, that's a really interesting reason why your family might see you on the screen.
Jenny McCarthy: Whoever you are, you're very large. You seem to have a big heart.
Velma Dinkley: Is it just because you're a rhinoceros?
Rhino: Well, I've had some painful lows in my past. This show has been such a bright light for me, I feel so happy and I just want to say thank you. I'm very blessed.
Fred Jones: Well, he is happy in a sort of way.
Nick Cannon: All the love is going around. All right, before we go any further though, men in black, reveal the clue.
{A man from behind opens up the box and reveals a Lego Rhino and Robin by the number "1000"}
Daphne Blake: "1000."
Jenny McCarthy: That looks like Robin.
Robin Thicke: {Laughs}
Shaggy Rogers: Like, that is Robin.
Rhino: Robin, we take a like. You and I are on the same track, literally.
Velma Dinkley: Okay, that proves that he could be a country artist.
Robin Thicke: Yeah, he might have done a performance or show with me.
Nicole Scherzinger: Oooh.
Robin Thicke: I can't connect it to the clues because I don't know as much about him personally, but maybe it's Will Ferrell. We did "Ride Like the Wind" for "Anchorman 2" soundtrack.
Ken Jeong: He's very talented.
Robin Thicke: And he is tall.
{A picture of Will Ferrell is shown next to Rhino}
Daphne Blake: So, what does he got to do with the planet Mars?
Fred Jones: Not sure. Ken, do you have a guess?
Ken Jeong: Yes, and thank you for calling my name.
Scooby Doo: Ken never does this sitting down.
Shaggy Rogers: Like, we still have to hear those guesses.
Ken Jeong: I think, looking from the clue package, there was like surfing, there was waves, it was like watching an episode of "Baywatch."
{Rhino does Hasselhoff's walk}
Ken Jeong: And running in slow-motion like Hasselhoff! Like, David Hasselhoff and "Baywatch." He's got the height for it.
{A picture of David Hasselhoff is shown next to Rhino}
Robin Thicke: Wait, wait, I'm gonna support Ken on this for a second. There was a clue early on that Nick said one of the people on this group owns a Guinness Book of World Records and David Hasselhoff is the most watched person in the history of television.
Nicole Scherzinger: Oh.
Fred Jones: And, he was a guess on who the Peacock was.
Daphne Blake: But, what about that diamond ring?
Shaggy Rogers: Like, I am not sure if David wore a diamond ring like that.
Will Arnett: Okay, I was looking for sort of a getup, which is very sort of first World War, but it made me think of that movie "1917."
Velma Dinkley: Well, he is wearing a sort of military suit.
Will Arnett: The director Sam Mendes, which made me think of the director Sam Raimi, who directed a bunch of those Spider-Man movies.
Jenny McCarthy: Yeah.
Will Arnett: And "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse" was directed by Phil Lord and Chris Miller, who also directed "The Lego Movie," I think it's me!
{A picture of Will Arnett is shown next to Rhino}
Nicole Scherzinger: Oh my gosh!
Velma Dinkley: Wait, that can't be right.
Shaggy Rogers: Like, maybe it's your doppelgänger version of you.
Scooby Doo: And you don't sing like that.
Will Arnett: Well, maybe I do sing like that! When I'm calm.
Nick Cannon: But, you rocked this stage up here. Y'all keep it going.
Fred Jones: Yep, for the Rhino.
{We now see guesses for Rhino}
Nick Cannon: Our panel was taking big chances for their guesses for the Rhino. But, what do you think?
{All four performers returned just as Fred joined with Nick}
Fred Jones: Okay, everyone. You've all heard them singing their own song and their group song.
Nick Cannon: Before we reveal who's going home, Ken, we know that you didn't get a Lego tonight.
Daphne Blake: Well, that's where you're wrong.
Ken Jeong: Huh? What?
Velma Dinkley: This will prove to us that we will never forget about you.
{Velma and Ken open the black box and shows a Lego Nick Cannon and Ken Jeong}
Fred Jones: You see, Ken? You're still in the Lego scene.
Ken Jeong: Thank you so much.
Scooby Doo: Tell that to Nick.
Shaggy Rogers: Or as you call him, "Daddy."
Ken Jeong: Yes, you're my biological father.
Daphne Blake: Now, let's sit you back down.
Nick Cannon: Yeah, you heard Daphne, Ken.
Ken Jeong: Yes, sir.
Fred Jones: Now, time for everyone including the party contestants to vote right now.
{The audience and Hippo, Pineapple, Deer, Poodle, Unicorn, Raven, Alien, Lion, Rabbit, Bee, Peacock, Monster, Egg, Ice Cream, Panda, Eagle, Skeleton, Penguin, Black Widow, Ladybug, Flower, Butterfly, Tree, Thingamajig, Leopard, Flamingo, Rottweiler, Fox, Robot, Llama, Miss Monster, Elephant, Mouse, Taco, Bear, and Swan all voted}
Nick Cannon: The singer with the least amount of votes will be forced to take it off.
Shaggy Rogers: They will still get to join the party.
Scooby Doo: That's like our private jet.
Fred Jones: If you all saying that you want to tell us who's going home right now...
{Everyone agreed}
Fred Jones: Guess what? We still can't do that. When we come back, we'll find out who is getting eliminated.
{Commercial break}
{Commercial break ends}
Nick Cannon: Well, welcome back everyone.
Fred Jones: Now, it's time to find out who's going home. Will it be the Night Angel, who has a high-energy, call-and-response party anthemcelebrating love, joy, and passionate expression? The Astronaut, who knows how to describe a bar and then quickly lead to a bedroom? The T-Rex, who sings an uplifting song of victory? Or will it be the Rhino, who is a person that hides sadness and heartbreak behind a happy facade?
Nick Cannon: Let's find out.
Daphne Blake: Okay.
Fred Jones: The thirty-seventh contestant eliminated is...the T-Rex.
{T-Rex was a bit disappointed with crush when her name was said}
Nick Cannon: To the rest of you, congratulations.
Fred Jones: You three have joined the other three members to the Super Nine.
{The three members left while T-Rex stayed where she was}
Fred Jones: Well, hold on a second.
{A crew member tells T-Rex about something}
Velma Dinkley: I wonder what he's saying to her.
Daphne Blake: Probably something for her own social media.
{The crew member leaves}
Fred Jones: Okay, we all have to hear the final guesses. Let's start with Jenny.
Jenny McCarthy: First of all, you did an amazing job.
Daphne Blake: And of course, this reptilian creature did a terrific job.
Jenny McCarthy: Initially, I thought maybe Maddie Ziegler. She was on "Dance Moms."
{A picture of Maddie Ziegler is shown next to T-Rex}
Jenny McCarthy: But that Kardashian connection made me go "huh." And I just kind of went a little bit adjacent, and realized "Oh, this girl was on "Dance Moms" and she has a connection to the Kardashians. She's got amazing energy." And I'm gonna stick with JoJo Siwa.
{A picture of JoJo Siwa is shown next to T-Rex}
Fred Jones: Nicole, your guess.
Nicole Scherzinger: I am with Jenny on this one doubling down. TT is JoJo Siwa.
Fred Jones: Okay, now for Ken.
Ken Jeong: In the beginning, I thought it was Kourtney Kardashian, and then I was jeté over to Lilly Singh.
Fred Jones: Yep, you think it is a YouTube star.
Velma Dinkley: But then, you went with Honey Boo Boo.
Ken Jeong: Exactly. But now, I actually think last week, Robin, he had a point with Liza Koshy because in last week's clue package, there was a "double dare." She's the host of the "Double Dare" reboot and she's a huge YouTube star inspired by Robin Thicke, Liza Koshy.
{A picture of Liza Koshy is shown next to T-Rex}
Fred Jones: Okay, now Robin's guess.
Robin Thicke: Well, I originally went all the way with the Liza Koshy, but you know, after listening to Jenny and Nicole, and I just feel like that they know more about the subject than I do, so I'm gonna agree with my more intelligent colleagues here and go with JoJo Siwa.
Fred Jones: And now finally, Will's guess.
Will Arnett: Well, at first, I thought it was Gabby Douglas, you know, she's an Olympian. But, uh, that Lego Batman. {As Batman} He's been here the whole time.
Fred Jones: Of course.
Scooby Doo: And, what about your pick?
Will Arnett: Well, I did start to think about maybe the connection was through blades of glory, which I was and it made me think of skaters and with the lips made me think of Tara Lipinski. So I'm gonna go Tara Lipinski.
{A picture of Tara Lipinski is shown next to T-Rex}
Nick Cannon: Okay, now the Mystery Gang's guesses.
Scooby Doo: I'll say Lilly Singh.
Shaggy Rogers: Like, I'll go with Mikaela Shiffrin.
Velma Dinkley: I will say Gabby Douglas.
Fred Jones: Now, I will go with Maddie Ziegler.
Daphne Blake: I will stick with JoJo Siwa.
Nick Cannon: Okay, panel and Mystery Gang, we've heard your final guesses.
Fred Jones: Let's see who this T-Rex really is.
Nick Cannon: T-Rex.
Fred Jones: Show us all, who's behind the T-Rex mask.
{Everyone chanted "Take it off" to T-Rex}
Velma Dinkley: Vault your way, Gabby!
Fred Jones: Dance your heart out, Maddie!
Shaggy Rogers: Ski out of that body, Mikaela!
Scooby Doo: Let's hope it is Lilly.
Daphne Blake: JoJo Siwa, dance on here.
{The mask comes off and was revealed to be JoJo Siwa}
Daphne Blake: Jeepers! Alright!
Fred Jones: Introducing...
Mystery Gang: Actress, Singer, Dancer, YouTuber, Model, Entertainer, TV Producer, Vocalist, TV and Media Personality, JoJo Siwa.
Nick Cannon: My forever sidekick!
{A picture of JoJo and Nick is shown next to her in person}
Daphne Blake: So glad to see you, JoJo.
JoJo Siwa (T-Rex): You too, Daphne!
Velma Dinkley: Now, this all made perfect sense.
Daphne Blake: Well, you know Nick from "Lip Sync Battle Shorties."
Velma Dinkley: The boomerangs are a song clue to "Boomerang."
Fred Jones: That U-shaped balloon? It's definitely for a YouTuber.
Scooby Doo: And you got a lot of dancing.
Will Arnett: What was our connection?
JoJo Siwa (T-Rex): I was at the world premiere of "The Lego Batman Movie" and I was wearing my poodle shoes.
{A picture of JoJo in her shoes is shown next to everyone}
Scooby Doo: I guess what we don't know is why you came.
JoJo Siwa (T-Rex): What else, Scooby? I just want to let you guys be in my YouTube videos.
Fred Jones: Well, I guess you understood what we mean by famous.
JoJo Siwa (T-Rex): Oh, I forgot to say the most important part. I would've gotten further if it weren't for you meddling kids, and North West's biggest fan and good dancer, JoJo Siwa. That's me.
Shaggy Rogers: Like, you don't have to worry.
Scooby Doo: Bring your dancing self right to the party.
JoJo Siwa (T-Rex): And that, I will. Can't believe I am the youngest person on the show.
Fred Jones: Okay, now that we got all nine performers. Hear to sing "Jai Ho" one more time and unmasked and accompanied by Nicole, the artist formerly known as the T-Rex, JoJo Siwa.
JoJo Siwa (T-Rex) and Nicole Scherzinger: You are my destiny. Jai Ho, oh-oh-oh. You are the reason that I breathe. {Backup singers: Jai Ho!} You are the reason that I still believe. You are my destiny. Jai Ho, oh-oh-oh. Baila, baila!
{The episode ends}
