Eddie the Leech, alternatively known as Disney's Eddie the Leech, is an American comedy animated series created by Mark O'Hare, being produced by Walt Disney Television Animation and has aired on Disney Channel from June 18th, 2001 until August 12th, 2005.
Synopsis
Usually people think of leeches as disgusting and dangerous - but not Eddie! He’s a goofy and energetic fella who has managed to survive in the world’s most dangerous jungle all his life, but he doesn’t care - he treats it like home. His rather positive energy and comedic tone of speaking manage to bring life to this otherwise dastardly land. Even then, though, it is not without its struggles as Eddie gets himself into various situations while trying to survive and have a smile on his face while doing so.
Characters
Main
- Eddie the Leech (voiced by Rob Paulsen) - a goofy, lighthearted, energetic, and rather comedic leech who has always been known for thinking on the positive side, loving his home in the jungle despite it being extremely dangerous. As a result, he does tend to be a bit naive and get himself, into his own situations. Even then he rarely ever loses his smile, telling jokes and even trying to imitate a powerful jungle warrior meant to protect the land from danger.
Supporting
- Speck (voiced by Tress MacNeille) - an extremely childish and idealistic tick who is Eddie's "sidekick".
- Peachie (voiced by TBD) - a dimwitted overweight coyote who loves hanging out with bugs rather than other coyotes.
- Poonski (voiced by TBD) - an optimistic bulldog puppy who recently got herself lost as she befriended Eddie and a few others.
- Sam (voiced by TBD) - a gothic llama who is very cynical.
- Flicky (voiced by TBD) - a talkative fish who helped out Eddie once.
- Old Man (voiced by TBD) - a crazy old man who lives in the jungle and does some rather crazy stuff.
- Bella the Bee (voiced by TBD) - a bossy bee who invited various bugs including Eddie to be part of her play and can get rather frustrated when one of them messes up.
- Anty (voiced by TBD) - a grumpy ant who wants every other creature including other ants to stay out of his territory.
- Slick and Snug (voiced by TBD and TBD, respectively) - a comedic slug and snail duo who like to goof off, although they tend to get themselves hurt in various situations.
- Riley the Nurse Rabbit (voiced by TBD) - a friendly rabbit who wanted to be a nurse in order to help the other animals around her.
Antagonists
- The Big Bad Jaguar (voiced by Kevin Michael Richardson) - a giant jaguar who tries to eat Eddie or just embarrass him.
- Ferocious Fiona (voiced by Jennifer Hale) - an insane human huntress who has met Eddie as she tries to eat him.
- Blud (voiced by Jess Harnell) - a very weird tiger who is the self claimed king of the tigers.
- Edna the Leech (voiced by TBD) - a rude leech who wanted to replace Eddie.
- Harold Gator (voiced by Doug Lawrence) - a feisty and crazy southern alligator who tried to eat Eddie.
- Bugsy (voiced by TBD) - an egotistical horn beetle who claims himself to be the master of go-fish as he has challenged Eddie to play with him.
- The Psychic (voiced by TBD) - a greedy and dishonest crab who claims to be a psychic but is a fake.
- Lana (voiced by Cristina Pucelli) - a crazy and daredevil squirrel who forced Eddie to start doing crazy things.
- Carrot Thief (voiced by TBD) - a cunning rabbit who wears a mask while stealing carrots.
- Death (voiced by TBD) - a calm and shadowy figure who came to judge Eddie when he finally died in the jungle.
- The Swamp Guardian (voiced by TBD) - a harsh humanoid swamp creature who guards his own swamp from other people and animals from entering, as he would punish those who pass him even when he says not to.
