EXILE World is a proposed documentary series relating to the J-pop group EXILE, in which Atsushi Satō, Takahiro Tasaki, and the rest of the gang try their hand at touring the world. The big show is filmed at a large arena, stadium, or the site of other significant landmarks, all while being hosted by Rebecca and June Leonard, sisters from East Norriton who've been keen on J-pop for as long as they can remember. While the members of EXILE are backstage preparing for the next segment, Rebecca and June conduct a 5-question trivia on the topic of EXILE. Guest artists are also invited.
Background and development[]
When the Avex's YouTube channel uploaded the trailer for the TV broadcast for EXILE Tribe Live Tour 2012: Tower of Wish, people in the comments section ask for EXILE to come to countries such as France, Germany, Puerto Rico, etc. In July 2016, fellow member Atsushi Satō sang the Japanese national anthem "Kimigayo" at the Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles. Following that, Satō expressed his desire for EXILE to go global, thus limiting his activities to the United States until the beginning of 2018.
