Fantastic Cartoon Block is an animated block that airs on Disney Channel in December 2, 2009 until in March of 2011 . The block airs animated series from different properties. The block starts in the morning and it ends at the afternoon.

History

In the fall of 2008, Disney Channel announced that the block will launch around “later next year”. Until in November 6, 2010. They released the date for the block. In December 2, 2009. It officially made its debut.

The block was very popular among the older audience who watched the channel and it gave a million views on it. Later, the timeslot changed between 8AM-10:00AM to 8:30AM-12:00PM to make it appeal to even more viewers.

Then around in April 2010, Disney showed a lot of praise to the live-action programs, so they moved it from Saturday to Sunday to only Sundays and changed the timeslots again to only an hour. Which brings the views down.

But three months later, the channel brought it back to it’s original format. To bring the viewer’s attention.

So the block then continued until in March 1, 2011. Disney Channel decided to bring the block to an end so that it’ll have more space for the popular shows on the channel. Mostly live-action. But to make it fair, they changed the timeslot to 6:00AM-1:00PM.

It was replaced by Disneyrock in the following week after the original block came to an end.
