Despicable Me 3 is a 2017 American 3D computer-animated comedy film produced by Illumination for Universal Pictures. It is the third installment in the Despicable Me franchise and a sequel to 2013's Despicable Me 2. Steve Carell, Kristen Wiig, Miranda Cosgrove, Dana Gaier, Steve Coogan, and Julie Andrews reprise their roles from the first two films with Nev Scharrel (replacing Elsie Fisher), Jenny Slate, and Trey Parker joining the cast. The film was released on June 30, 2017, by Universal Pictures, and was a box-office success, grossing over $1 billion on an $80 million budget. A sequel, Despicable Me 4, was released in 2026.
