Dell and Gary: Final Wars Part I premiered at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, Los Angeles, on June 6, 2033, and was released in the United States on June 10, 2033. The film received praise for the voice acting and Lord and Miller's screenplay and direction, as well as the animation, visuals, cinematography, visual effects, action sequences, dark tone, editing, and musical score. It was a major box-office success, becoming the fourth film and the first superhero film to gross over $2 billion worldwide, breaking numerous box office records, and becoming the highest-grossing film of 2033 and the fourth-highest-grossing film at the time of its release both worldwide and in the United States and Canada. The film won the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature, Best Actress for Chance, Best Supporting Actor for Dae Kim, Best Original Score, Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Sound, Best Film Editing, Best Cinematography, and Best Visual Effects and became the second animated film in history to win the five major Academy Awards after War of the Toons (2030) and winning the most awards at the 106th Academy Awards.
