DC vs. Sega is a Japanese American crossover fighting game based on the properties by DC Comics and Sega. It is developed by 8ting and co-published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and Sega, being published for PC, Mac, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and Nintendo Switch on March 17th, 2025.

Synopsis[]

Infinite, having survived his defeat at the hands of Sonic, uses the Phantom Ruby to open a portal to another world, the DC universe as Brainiac has been attempting to master multiverse travel. Their joint experiments cause the two to be fused into Brainiac-Infinite as they merge DC and countless Sega worlds as the heroes and villains now have to deal with this fused world while trying to stop Brainiac-Infinite.

Characters[]

DC Comics[]

  • Bruce Wayne/Batman (voiced by Christopher Daniel Barnes) - the CEO of Wayne Enterprises who became a masked vigilante as he learns of how numerous realities converged with his own as he wears an enhanced batsuit and intends on fixing this multiversal incursion, soon learning that this fused world is permanent but beating Brainiac-Infinite would allow the world to flourish.
  • Kal-El/Clark Kent/Superman (voiced by Brian Bloom) - the brave and kindhearted but powerful Last Son of Krypton who is capable of flight, laser vision and multiple other powers as he has been saving the world from multiple threats, using his strength to attempt on stopping Brainiac, knowing that he is a dangerous threat.
  • Diana Prince/Wonder Woman (voiced by Janet Varney) - the noble princess of Themyscira who was made out of clay and raised by Hippolyta as her own daughter as she ventures to Man's World, learning of this fused world and intends on fighting to defend it, using her lasso of truth as well as other Amazonian weapons in order to fight.
  • Victor Stone/Cyborg (voiced by Zeno Robinson) - a former football star and scientific prodigy who became a cyborg after a life-threatening car accident, as he now operates as a major superhero and a former Teen Titan, learning of this fused world and intends on fighting to defend it, using his weaponized cybernetics to fight against those he deems threats.
  • Hal Jordan/Green Lantern (voiced by Josh Keaton) - a cocky and brave Green Lantern who is the main one assigned to Earth and beyond as he learns of the fusion of his world and other worlds as he uses his inventive constructs in order to stop Brainiac-Infinite and whatever they may be planning for this world.
  • Lex Luthor (voiced by Matthew Mercer) - the calculating and dangerous CEO of LexCorp who loathes Superman and sees him as a menace to the world as he has become Superman's greatest enemy yet forms a reluctant alliance with him and other heroes in order to stop Brainiac-Infinite, not wanting to live under a tyrant and wants to make his own path.
  • The Joker (voiced by Troy Baker) - the insane and somewhat silly Clown Prince of Crime who enjoys causing chaos and mayhem, being an annoying and dangerous threat to the Batman as he learns of the chaos caused by Brainiac-Infinite and decides to have some fun, believing the chaos caused in this world to be perfect for him.
  • Circe (voiced by Laura Post) - a playful yet sadistic ancient Greek witch who is one of Wonder Woman's most dangerous threats as she is a mistress of magic as she learns of this chaos caused by Brainiac-Infinite and intends on using it to try and further her own goals, learning of new forms of magic in this world and wants to master them.
  • Wally West/The Flash (voiced by Jason Spisak) - the second Flash and the current fastest man alive who is prone to making jokes and is a beloved member of the Justice League as he learns of this fusion crisis and chooses to try and find a way to undo it, believing that Brainiac-Infinite has some way to undo it, not knowing what the fusion is permanent.
  • Gorilla Grodd (voiced by Khary Payton) - a gruff and dangerous genetically modified gorilla with tremendous strength and psychic powers who has been exiled from Gorilla City and wants to prove himself as the most superior mind on the planet, believing humans to be weak as he intends on taking advantage of the chaos caused by Brainiac-Infinite in order to bring forth his own new world order.
  • Cassandra Cain/Batgirl (voiced by Xanthe Huynh) - the aloof and somewhat shy yet skilled at fighting current Batgirl who used to be a dangerous assassin as she now joins Batman in trying to stop Brainiac-Infinite from devastating the world, using her martial arts in order to fight those she believes are out for evil and villainy.
  • Jamie Reyes/Blue Beetle (voiced by Alejandro Saab) - a goofy and silly but sometimes anxious teenage super geek who merged with an alien scarab and has become the Blue Beetle as he battles crime as him, learning of Brainiac-Infinite and his sinister plans and plans on foiling them due to knowing they can be disastrous.
  • Cole Cash/Grifter (voiced by Jonah Scott) - a charismatic and gruff mercenary and superhero who is a master at martial arts, gunplay and is also a powerful telepath as he learns of Brainiac-Infinite and chooses to target him, believing that he would get a massive payday or at the very least heralded as a hero for beating him.
  • Harleen Quinzel/Harley Quinn (voiced by Ashley Johnson) - Joker's insane and foul-mouthed ex-girlfriend who wants to become her own ultimate criminal mastermind as she decides to fight Brainiac-Infinite, believing that beating him in a fight would make every single villain look up to her as the ultimate supervillain.
  • Minkhoa Khan/Ghost-Maker (voiced by Aleks Le) - a brutal and violent yet emotionless and psychopathic vigilante who sees crime fighting as an art and believes that Batman is doing things wrong by sparing his enemies as he learns of Brainiac-Infinite and chooses to target him due to wanting to end his plans of tyranny and villainy.
  • Michael Jon Carter/Booster Gold (voiced by Jack Quaid) - an egotistical time traveler who came from the future as he went back in time to become the world's greatest hero as he decides to try and prove himself as the world's greatest hero by being the one to defeat Brainiac-Infinite, using numerous techs to aid him.
  • Rudy Jones/Parasite (voiced by Jake Green) - a former janitor who mutated into a hulking purple monster as he only cares for one thing, gaining more and more energy and power. He learns of Brainiac-Infinite and makes it his mission to beat Brainiac-Infinite so he can absorb his strength and power, being quite dangerous.
  • Grail (voiced by Laura Bailey) - the daughter of Darkseid and an Amazon who is hungry for power as she wants to prove herself as better than her father, wielding a scythe created by Hades himself and plans on destroying Brainiac-Infinite in order for her to become even more powerful than her father ever was.
  • Dick Grayson/Nightwing (voiced by Scott Porter) - a cocky and energetic vigilante and Batman's former sidekick who is now his own vigilante defending Bludhaven as he learns of Brainiac-Infinite and chooses to dispose of him himself, believing that he's helping Batman in dealing with this dark and rising threat.
  • Zatanna Zatara (voiced by Lacey Chabert) - a goofy and flamboyant stage magician who happens to be an actual magician as she learns of how Brainiac-Infinite merged all of these worlds and chooses to investigate, believing that Brainiac-Infinite is a tyrant that needs to be deposed of, using magic by speaking backwards.

  • Dream of the Endless (voiced by Tom Sturridge) - a powerful lord and personification of all dreams and stories, as he learns of how Brainiac-Infinite merged all of these worlds and settles to stop him before he turns everyone's dreams into nightmares, with him also noticing how his strength is significantly weakened as well.
  • Courtney Whitmore/Stargirl (voiced by Ashly Burch) - a happy-go-lucky star-spangled teenager who wields a cosmic rod given to her by the original Starman to fight crime and supervillains, as she learns of how Brainiac-Infinite merged all of these worlds and settles to stop him, while proving herself to the heroes who are also taking part of the battle.

Sega[]

  • Sonic the Hedgehog (voiced by Roger Craig Smith) - a cocky yet friendly blue hedgehog as he is a traveling hero, battling the forces of Dr. Robotnik as he gets warped to this strange, warped world, learning of the villainous Brainiac-Infinite as he decides to try and beat him in a fight, using his speed and bravery to fight.
  • Shadow the Hedgehog (voiced by Kirk Thornton) - an edgy loner hedgehog who was an experiment designed to be the Ultimate Lifeform as he is capable of slowing down time with his Chaos Control, wandering through this fused world as he knows that this fusion of this so-called Brainiac and Infinite would cause problems.
  • Dr. Ivo "Eggman" Robotnik (voiced by Mike Pollock) - a megalomaniacal and order-obsessed mad scientist who creates dozens of robots who work under him as he is Sonic's arch-enemy and decides to try and spread his control now that he is in a new world, although he decides to reluctantly work with Sonic and others to stop Brainiac-Infinite.
  • Kazuma Kiryu (voiced by Yong Yea) - the legendary Dragon of Dojima who had currently retired from the Yakuza life as he is dragged back into fighting when he gets warped to this new world, learning how corrupt it inherently is, choosing to try and help those warped through this fused world, being quite a formidable fighter.
  • Goro Majima (also voiced by Matthew Mercer) - an insane and flamboyant Yakuza member who is a master of disguise as well as being obsessed with Kiryu as he gets warped to this world and decides to try and find Kiryu no matter what, not caring who he has to hurt in his way, being quite dangerous in combat as well.
  • Ichiban Kasuga (voiced by Kaiji Tang) - a goofy and outgoing Yakuza member who truly wants to help people as his life ends up being not that good as he ends up having to deal with this strange new world and the fusions of it all, trying his best to fight through it while learning that he can summon his friends to help him fight as well.
  • Tyris Flare (voiced by Erica Lindbeck) - an Amazonian princess who wields an enhanced sword and fire-themed magic to battle the forces of Death Adder who wants the Golden Axe, as she gets warped into this chaotic world of battle created by Brainiac-Infinite and decides to fight in it while attempting to find the Golden Axe, believing it to be displaced somewhere in this world.
  • Ren Amamiya/Joker (voiced by Xander Mobus) - the leader of the Phantom Thieves and a teenager who has a special Persona known as Arsene as he steals the hearts of those that he deems corrupt and gets warped to this world, strangely learning that he can now become Joker outside of the Metaverse, attempting to figure out how he can do that.
  • Takaya Sakaki (voiced by Daman Mills) - the insane and religious leader of the terrorist group known as Striga as he wants to bring the apocalypse to his world as he learns of the fusion of his world and multiple others as he takes advantage of this in order to try and start the apocalypse, claiming that all life is worthless and everyone would be better with their suffering ended.
  • Margaret (voiced by Marisha Ray) - a professional but sometimes anger prone attendant at the Velvet Room who is sent by Igor to investigate this fused world, using multiple Personas to aid her in her quest to explore this new world, not wanting to let Igor or her siblings who reside in the Velvet Room as well down.
  • Vincent Brooks (also voiced by Troy Baker) - a normal and anxious man in his 20s who had been having to deal with a mysterious young woman known as Catherine who has been haunting his dreams, forcing him to climb through gigantic dungeons with blocks as he gets warped to this fused world, just trying to live a bachelor life, having to deal with the weirdness of everything this world he is in now.
  • AiAi - an adorable little monkey who lives riding in a little ball as he is incapable of speaking and gets warped to this fused world of words, deciding not to fight to return or anything but is just in a quest to find some bananas for him to eat, being quite hungry, as he uses his ball to help him in fighting against his enemies.
  • Amitie (voiced by Christine Marie Cabanos) - an energetic and ditzy resident of Primp Town who wants to be the best magic user around as she plays a game nobody else in this new world plays known as Puyo Puyo, using them as weapons while traveling around this fused world in search of ways to prove herself as the best.
  • Arle Nadje (voiced by Erica Mendez) - a cheery yet sometimes sarcastic witch who is also a master player at Puyo Puyo as she gets warped to this strange new world and decides to explore it, being fascinated by all the sorts of magic the DC side of this fused world has and wants to try and master all of it, being willing to fight for it.
  • Joe Musashi (voiced by Daisuke Tsuji) - a skilled ninja who is a master of the Oboro Clan as he has been fighting cartels and other threats, being warped to this new world as he attempts to get used to his new surroundings while learning that the fusion of the worlds had caused him to become the last operative of the Oboro Clan.
  • Selvaria Bles (voiced by Carrie Keranen) - an emotionless and devout soldier as well as a Valkyria working for the Imperials who is blindly loyal to the Crown Prince Maximillian as she gets warped to this fused world as she wants to conquer it for her prince, believing that he will soon arrive, and the empire will rule over this planet.
  • Blaze Fielding (voiced by Erika Harlacher) - an aggressive and somewhat anger prone former cop turned vigilante who has been experienced in dealing with crooks and criminals as she gets warped in this strange fusion world and chooses to try and face Brainiac-Infinite herself, not being a massive fan of bullies.
  • Amigo (voiced by Antony Del Rio) - a cheerful and party-loving monkey who enjoys playing the maracas and hosting gigantic parties as he gets warped into this strange fusion world and settles to try and face Brainiac-Infinite, whom he sees as a party pooper, while believing that he can put on the ultimate party after beating him.
  • Akira Yuki (voiced by Greg Chun) - a skilled and confident Bajiquan master who has been in multiple tournaments known as Virtua Fighter as he decides to try and prove his strength in this fused world, facing numerous powerful faces with just his fists and martial arts, wanting to figure out the true meaning of combat.
  • The Centurion (voiced by Ray Chase) - a roman centurion who is tasked by Zeus himself to find and rescue the Goddess Athena from the sorcerer Neff as he can transform into numerous bestial forms and gets warped to this fused world, attempting to figure out where Athena is in this new world, being true to his mission.

  • The Magician (voiced by Chris Okawa) - a sentient zombie-like creature who was the ultimate weapon designed by Dr. Curien as he gained sentience and the desire to destroy all of humanity as he heads to find Brainiac-Infinite in order to destroy him to begin his conquest of everyone and everything, being quite dangerous.
  • Neo Metal Sonic (also voiced by Ray Chase) - a powerful and quite dangerous robot designed by Eggman to be a successor of Sonic's robotic clone Mecha Sonic, until he got exposed to the Chaos Emeralds as he upgraded and went rogue and decided to change the world by his own terms, soon learning of Brainiac-Infinite, and deciding to "eliminate the competition" for power.

  • Lois Lane (voiced by TBD) - a stubborn and brave yet good-natured reporter and journalist at the Daily Planet, and Superman's lover as well as current wife, as she learns of the multiversal disturbances caused by Brainiac-Infinite and notifies the heroes from both DC and Sega worlds about the incursions happening.
  • Amanda Waller (voiced by TBD) - the ambitious and emotionless head of A.R.G.U.S. and organizer of Task Force X who appears as both the narrator in AiAi's ending, on which she and her agents spy on him, and view him as a perfect candidate as well showing up in the story mode.

Sega[]

  • Miles "Tails" Prower (voiced by Colleen O'Shaughnessey) - Sonic's timid yet intelligent and good-hearted best friend and sidekick, and a young fox who can fly by spinning his two tails like helicopter blades and is a mechanical and scientific genius, as he learns of the multiversal disturbances caused by Brainiac-Infinite and helps the heroes from both DC and Sega worlds to stop it.

  • Michael Holt/Mister Terrific - a superhero who is a master martial artist and master inventor, having devices known as T-Spheres, as he cameos in Sonic's ending, where in which he recruits Sonic to join his team known as the Terrifics.
    • Linnya Wazzo/Phantom Girl - an alien from the planet of Bgztl who is capable of intangibility and is a member of the Terrifics, as she cameos in Sonic's ending when she and the other Terrifics let him into the team.
    • Patrick O'Brien/Plastic Man - a former petty thief-turned-shapeshifting superhero and member of the Terrifics, as he cameos in Sonic's ending when he and the other Terrifics let him into the team.
    • Rex Mason/Metamorpho - an elemental and shapeshifting superhero and member of the Terrifics who appears in Sonic's ending when he and the other Terrifics welcome Sonic to the team.

  • Mongul - one of Superman's old foes, and the tyrannical ruler of the arena planet of Battleworld, as he cameos in Superman's ending, where he tries to force him and a group of heroes to fight each other in his gladiatorial arena, only for the heroes to team up to defeat him.
  • Pat Dugan/S.T.R.I.P.E. - Stargirl's stepfather who is also her sidekick, as he appears in Stargirl's ending, being introduced to her new friend Sketch Turner.
  • Doomsday - one of Superman's deadliest foes and a nigh-unstoppable Kryptonian monster who appears in Tyris Flare's ending as her new battle steed.
  • Dinah Lance/Black Canary - a master martial artist with the superhuman ability of the Canary Cry who cameos in Blaze Fielding's ending as her new crime-fighting partner.
  • Christopher Chance/Peacemaker - a slightly idiotic and clumsy self-proclaimed patriot member of Task Force X who appears in Eggman's ending, where he leads a hunting party to capture Eggman, and force him to join the Squad.

  • Amy Rose - a hammer-wielding pink hedgehog who appears in Wonder Woman's ending, where Diana welcomes Amy to Themyscira, making her an honorary member of the Amazons.
  • Knuckles the Echidna - a large-fisted and powerful echidna warrior who appears in Superman's ending, where he is captured by Mongul to fight in Battleworld, only to team up with Superman and other gladiators to defeat him and joining Superman's new team.
  • Ax Battler - a barbarian swordsman and comrade of Tyris Flare who appears in Superman's ending, where he is captured by Mongul to fight in Battleworld, only to team up with Superman and other gladiators to defeat him and joining Superman's new team.
  • Adam Hunter - a secret agent and old friend of Blaze's who appears in Superman's ending, where he is captured by Mongul to fight in Battleworld, teaming up with Superman to defeat him and joining his team.
  • Vectorman - a heroic and noble Robot who appears in Cyborg's ending, where in which Cyborg helps him after hacking Brainiac-Infinite's ship, having been kidnapped by him as a weapon.
  • Mecha Sonic Mark II - a prototype version of Metal Sonic and one of the first robot Sonics who was found by Lex Luthor in his ending and tuned up.
  • The ChuChus - a group of adorable alien mice with a passion for rockets who appear in Zatanna's ending, where they are her new partners for her stage magician shows.
  • Sketch Turner - a comic book artist who was warped to a comic book world as he appears in Stargirl's ending, where he becomes her new friend.

Bosses[]

  • Brainiac-Infinite (voiced by Corey Burton and Liam O'Brien fused) - the fusion of the robotic collector known as Brainiac and the jackal known as Infinite as they fuse the DC and Sega worlds and begin to rule them together as they begin an age of terror, being the game's final boss fight, being fought at the end of the arcade ladder and story mode.
  • OMAC (voiced by TBD) - a high-tech android super soldier who was hacked by Brainiac-Infinite into serving under him as he is one of two potential sub-bosses in the game, being fought if you play as a Sega character, being extremely fast, strong and capable of firing out energy blasts which can be quite dangerous to face.

Gameplay[]

DC vs. Sega features gameplay mechanics which are mix to those of Marvel vs. Capcom and Super Smash Bros., being a 2D fighting game with a focus on lowering down the opponent's health. Similar to MvC, players select a team of three characters to compete in a one-on-one battle.
