Coronation Street: The Video Game (later known as Coronation Street: Weatherfield Life) is an upcoming British produced third person life simulation video game with open world elements, based on the long-running British soap opera Coronation Street (1960-present). It was announced in August 2020 for a December 2020 release, in order to coincide with the show's 60th anniversary.
Described as "The Sims meets Grand Theft Auto", the main setting is in the fictional Weatherfield in which player's build a life for their characters on Coronation Street and meet many memorable characters throughout the history of the show and even take part in major storylines recreated for the game. The timeline of the game spans from the 1960s to modern day.
