Combat works as you take control of Collin during combat and before attacking is capable to equip him with any three upgrade cards. During the duel it is styled as a fighting game as you fight your opponent until they lose health. It has a best of two out of three limit as after a round all equipped Upgrade Cards becomes discarded.

The series received generally positive reviews from critics and fans alike, being praised for reinventing CtSB and its characters in a different way and TBD.

  • This series is considered non-canon to the Prime continuity, being officially identified as Earth-AL.
  • Although using elements from the main series, it tries to be its own thing by making the Collin characters A.I.s and having humans control them.
  • When asked about the absence of characters such as Tommy, Cooper and Evelynn, the developers replied that they opted to choose the characters that would better suited for combat.
    • However, fans theorize Janice is an analogue to Evelynn since both are redheads and they are rather similar in personality with her chemistry with Collin leading them to TBD.
