They originally worked with Tartarus and Count Valafar, but after his death and their unknown fate, they started to work with Claiden and the Villain Empire.
Toons in Madagascar[]
The pirates group appear in Toons in Madagascar with a major role as the main antagonists alongside the Evil Minions. This time, Salamander is the main antagonist. His second-in-command, Freebie, is the secondary antagonist, and the other two, Welt and Spunk, are the tertiary antagonists. They first appear at the park planning to either terrorize civilians and/or steal the the Master, Sol and Chaos Emeralds. They then meet up with the Villain Empire and plan to go to the Island of Madagascar. A group of villains (i.e Claiden's pirates, Butcher Gang, Broseph, Eagan, Sarah Connors, etc.) dig through the ground, only to find out they're outside of Toons Inc, Toon Home. When the pirates claim they're going to the wild, Carter and Jax get a brilliant idea. After the toons go to sleep, the pirates plan to surround the Hero Empire. After Carter, Melson, Jax, and Frank sneak off and try to go to Connecticut, the pirates and villains corner the heroes, and Freebie and the villains tranquilize the toons. When the heroes get washed up on the Island of Madagascar, the villains and the Peliotropes (Evil Minions) meet up and terrorize some people, and attempt to eat two villagers Tenacious and Joe. When Kaiden and the toons arrive, they inquire the pirates, evil minions, and villains for directions to help them and their family return to Toonopolis. However, a giant spider appears behind them, causing them to scream in fear. The antagonist toons, thinking that Team Kaiden and Team Pucca are roaring at them, flee in terror.
The next morning, during Connell's party with Kaiden and his friends, the pirates, purple minions, and villains return in an attempt to eat the civilians, but the heroes roar loudly, causing the villains to flee once again.
The pirates and villains made a short appearance during the "What a Wonderful World" scene, where they watch Team Kaiden and Team Pucca walk through their territory after their predatory instincts forced them to attack their friends.
Carter and the others later head off into the villain territory to convince the toons to come with them once the ship has arrived. The pirates, evil minions, and villains plan to attack Carter and his colleagues and they chase them. The pirates, evil minions, and villains manage to corner Carter and his colleagues and they pile up on them, but Frank and his friends arrive in the nick of time and the heroes manage to rescue the young boy and his colleagues by swinging from a vine. However, they crash into a boulder and the Antagonist Empire villains continue to chase the group of people until they are stopped by the Sooga Pirates. A battle is ensued until Team Kaiden and Team Pucca arrive and break up the fight, declaring that Carter and Melson are their kill. As the toons approach the two boys, while saying "Heroes hungry, heroes eat", they secretly tell them their plan to escape and scare the pirates and villains away. Kaiden and the toons clobber the villains, declaring Madagascar to be their territory, and they never wanted to see any of the Antagonist Empire there again. With a mighty roar, Team Kaiden and Team Pucca scare the pirates and villains away for good. After that, the villains never bothered the civilians, Kaiden, Pucca and their friends anymore.
