ChalkZone: Ruby's Got the Chalk is an upcoming American animated television series, produced by Frederator Studios, Animotion Works and Nickelodeon Animation Studio It is the sequel to the 2002 ChalkZone.

Plot

Ruby Tabootie, daughter of Rudy Tabootie and Penny Sanchez is an amazingly talented, upbeat 18-old-year tomboy and college student who discovers a magic chalk hidden in her dad's treasure chest and finds the ChalkZone, an alternate dimension where everything drawn on a blackboard and erased becomes real, there she meets Snap a small, blue, humanoid drawing made by her father when he was only eight. Rudy, Penny and other chrarcters from the previous series will return.

Development

A new series was greenlit by Nickelodeon Huber and Seibert are the only one producers to return it was originally intended be a reboot, but later shifted into a continuation of the original series instead the show feature Rudy and Penny's daughter along new characters and old characters from the old series. Billy Lopez creator of Welcome to the Wayne later joined Huber as co-writer/showrunner.

Animation will be outsourced to Top Draw Animation in the Philippines and Digital eMation in South Korea, eMation will handle real world characters and background and Top Draw will handle the ChalkZone characters and backgrounds.
