Cellular X

Cellular X is a chemical compound that gives humans, animals, and creatures alike superpowers, altering their cells rather than their DNA directly. It was formulated by Cyrus and Delia, the former while traveling through dimensions after being trapped for years, he traversed into the latter's world, where the use of her alien technology, they created the chemical for their own uses. They conducted a plan with Sōsuke Aizen and Elder Toguro to inject a couple of humans and animals with the compound to study the results.

Through his studies and discovering the genetic mutation, Nathan Jo gave its name as the mutation revolves mostly in the cellular structure. He labeled the people who have this mutation are Xvolved Individuals or simply Xvos.

Mutation Exposure and Infection

Upon further study, the chemical is a fluid mixture of bluish-green. Aside from its initial exposure, it can administered by injecting it into one's bloodstream, or be doused in it. The process can be painful on a physical, mental, and spiritual matter, considering how much dosage one took. Upon exposure, gaining their abilities and enhancements may vary, they may receive them instantly or they will remain dormant for some time. If the latter occurs, they might receive them in days, months, or even years, but their powers will also "awake" when the person in question has a recent traumatic experience, which will also cause them to lose control of their abilities.

It is also revealed their cellular can evolve and grow, making their abilities and powers stronger. As such, people with the chemical in their system can train themselves to get stronger and since they amplify their cells, they can still retain their experiences and abilities with little or no need to exercise, and sometimes they don't need to train as their cellular structure can grow without support.

In most cases, it affects humans and animals, the latter can gain additional abilities, such as gaining anthropomorphic qualities. For monsters, aliens, and creatures alike, the results may be unpredictable and cases of them being exposed to the genetic enhancements are very rare.

The formula can't affect objects, especially one's with sentience, as they don't possess an organic body with a cellular structure. However, if the object, even if it appears humanoid, can gain an organic human structure, they will receive the genetic enhancements after being exposed the formula.

Physiology

Their physiology may be altered upon strengthening their physical abilities, such known cases making them a bit muscular without the need for exercising but most cases they will retain their current body structure.

As their cells are enhanced, it will also affect the aging process. It is initially believed they can maintain their youth and live longer, however, further studies show they can live without aging. It also means they aren't actually immortal as they can still through extensive injuries that are lethal. However, their cellular structure enables them to regenerate from injuries but the level to heal oneself can very. As their cells grow stronger, they can recover lost limbs, survive being beheaded, and heal their internal organs, to where they are fully immortal.

For animals, not only their body structure will be altered but also gain the ability to transform into anthropomorphic beings that lets them handle and walk like humans. They can freely transform and revert back at will but animals who are already anthropomorphic won't be able to transform into quadrupedal or feral beings. However, in some cases, when animals gain the ability to become anthropomorphic, some will simply grow while retaining their original forms akin to as tall as a standard human, or at least taller in some cases.

Intelligence and Psychological Behavior

As it affect their brain cells, their intelligence will be amplified, allowing them to think clearly, be more perceptive, increased memory cells, and have the intuition to know how certain structures work without the need to study.

While they can be more intelligent and clever, it doesn't make them actually smart. To simply put, if someone who is goofy, absent-minded, or easily distracted, they can focus and concentrate to use the brain's upper functions to figure problems out, it doesn't mean they are instinctively meticulous or calculating. Having their intelligence and being perceptive are passive, and one needs to "put effort into their brains" to figure out more complex features.

For animals, they can figure out certain mechanics work and enable them to understand human language. With the exception of anthropomorphic animals, they are also capable of speaking human language themselves.

The formula will also affect their personality and behavior. Most notable cases have them "having a new attitude problem" by making them more confrontational, aggressive, and having outbursts of anger. It is stated it brings out the "polar opposite of oneself" by doing and saying something they won't normally do. However, they sill retain their mannerisms and their behaviors before the mutation.

Capabilities

X Trait

Aside from these enhancements, people will also receive a special form of power that Jon named as X Trait, the type of power depends on the person's character as it will reflect on their personality, habits, desires, or interests. As such, people will get their X Trait that is the same as someone who also has it but different based on their character. Someone who is shy and insecure could become invisible but can also acquire it if they are sly or sneaky.

The X Trait can come in either physical, mental, emotional, or supernatural. Unlike gaining enhancements, the X Trait can be used without training oneself to obtain the skill, however, it does have limits and has drawbacks if the power is overused. The limit can be extended when the person goes through extensive training to make it even stronger to where they will require additional abilities with it. If someone can read minds, they'll also acquire to mentally control people once they extend it.
