Catra (aka Cy'ra) is a fictional character in the toyline, and animated television series, She-Ra: Princess of Power (1985–86), which is part of the Masters of the Universe franchise. In the 2018 reboot, She-Ra and the Princesses of Power, Catra is one of the central antagonists for the first four seasons before becoming an ally to the heroes in its final season.
In both animated series, Catra is a Force-Captain of Hordak's Evil Horde, a position previously held by Adora before she defected in the 2018 reboot. In the first series, Catra displays minor sorcery abilities, possessing a magical mask, which when slid over her face gives the ability to transform into a purple panther-like beast, also showing telepathic control over all cats; in the second series she has cat-like features of her own, including a tail, large furry ears, a mane, and claws.
In the toyline, she is the principal villain. However, the 2018 series portrays her as a far more complex figure, serving as an antagonist before ultimately redeeming herself and becoming Adora's girlfriend.

Iago PUC's ideas[]
- Catra appears as a crossover supporting character in Iago PUC's Marvel Heroes franchise with her details from the 2018 reboot series and AJ Michalka reprising her role. Similar to her counterpart, this version is the childhood friend-turned-girlfriend of Adora, with whom she grew up to become a cadet of the Horde. This version, however, was initially unaware of the evils committed by the Horde until Adora became She-Ra, for which Catra (along with Adora, Scorpia and Entrapta) ended up defecting to the Princess Rebellion. This version is also described as having "the best of several felines in one"; the strength of a tiger, the "voice of a lion" (which allows her to perform concussive sound waves with her voice), and the speed of a cheetah. Also similar to the second half of the 2018 reboot's fifth season, Catra has a psychic link with her companion Melog.
- First appearing in Spider-Man and the New Avengers episode "Legendary Universes, Part 4: The Power Within", Catra and her fellow Princesses look after Nadia Van Hope and Cassie Lang after they are transported to their universe by Norman Osborn and the Spot along with Dazzler and the Goblin Queen, whom She-Ra teams up with Peter Parker / Spider-Man to defeat.
- Catra appears in The Book of Spider-Man episode "Your Multiversal Friendly Neighborhood". She is shown working with her fellow Princesses in stopping the Horde's out-of-control super-soldier dragon the Crimson Nightmare until they are joined by Spider-Man along with Tony Stark / Iron Man, Hiro Hamada / Kid Kaiju and Melissa Gold / Songbird.
- Catra also appears in Tales of the Knights. She appeared more prominently in She-Ra's arc; in "The Wild Child", Catra encounters Adora in Grayskull and gently welcomes Allegra. Catra is also the main focus of the next episode "Cat Days" (which takes place during Adora's mission in the Whispering Woods), which reveals when Catra found her companion Melog. In the next episode "Fire and Ash", Adora and Catra discover they have a hybrid clone named Anala, who became the leader of the vikings of Eternia known as the Throatcutters.
- Also appearing in Secret Adventures, she appears in Vol. 2 Issue #1 "For the Honor of Grayskull!", which depicts Adora's principles as She-Ra, such as how her relationship with Adora began. In Issue #5 “One Multiverse, One Realm”, Catra is shown in flashbacks of the Knights of the Multiverse's first encounters and team-ups with each other, being mainly shown bonding with the other Knights' girlfriends (Mara Jade, Amy Rose and Elita-One). In Issue #6 “A Lost Soul”, Catra and her fellow Princesses inspect a defeated Natalie Richards / Terminatrix before Adora / She-Ra and Swift Wind settle to gather the other Knights and some of their companions to help stop the Council of Kangs. In Issues #11 "Infinity Forces, Part 2" and #12 "Infinity Forces, Part 3", two versions of Catra appear as members of the Kang Slayers: one (Savage Catra) is a mutant with Wolverine's powers, and the other (Metal Catra) is a cyborg made of Doctor Robotnik's technology, with energy claws and a turret in her left shoulder. Later in Vol. 3, she appears in "Marvelous Brave Knights", in which she and her fellow Princesses organize a culinary event in Bright Moon when they get visited by Peter Parker / Spider-Man and his fellow New Avengers Sam Alexander / Nova and Anya Corazon / Araña during their goal to gather supplies for Kamala Khan's birthday. In "Multiversal Transcendence", Catra approaches Adora / She-Ra after her fight against Shadow Weaver, and immediately finds out with a smile in her face that Peter / Spider-Man has unlocked his ability to use the Multiversal Transcendence.
- Catra makes a cameo in All-Star Tales episode "Cosmic Symphonies". She is among the heroes from the alternate universes watching Peter's performance in the Cosmic Orchestra through the Multiversal Transcendence.
- Catra also appears in Guardians of the Multiverse and its spin-off micro-series Tales of the Legends as a major character. One of the heroes who are warped into the Avengers' universe along with She-Ra, Luke Skywalker, Sonic the Hedgehog, Optimus Prime and their comrades, Catra and her companion Melog arrive along with Mara Jade, Amy Rose, Elita-One and their companions in Central Park, New York. They contemplate searching for Peter / Spider-man, and convince him that the incursion can be reversed. They end up searching for him in the mansion of Peter's cousin Jessica Reilly / Spider-Woman and her husband Hunter Watson / White Wolf, where they are received by Anna Maria Marconi, Darcy Lewis and Carolyn Trainer. Catra and the ladies eventually reunite with their Knights after being found by Peter and introduced by him to his girlfriend Mary Jane Watson / Jackpot, whom the ladies form a friendship with.
