Castlevania is scheduled to be released on the same day as Splatoon, a animated action adventure film on June 21, 2030 in the United States, and later in Japan on June 28, 2030, in both regular formats and in IMAX 2D, 3D RealD 3D, 4DX, ScreenX and CinemarkXD.

Castlevania will be released on premium video-on-demand on TBA. It will also be available to stream on Peacock in TBA and Netflix in late-TBA. It is scheduled to be released on 4K Ultra-HD Blu-ray, Blu-ray, and DVD on September 6.

On the review aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes, 100% of TBA reviews are positive, with an average rating of 10/10. The website's consensus reads, "Castlevania is a greatest gothic horror video game movie in the bloody history." Metacritic, which uses a weighted average, assigned the film a score of 100 out of 100, based on TBA critics, indicating "positive reviews". Audiences polled by CinemaScore gave the film an average grade of "A+" on an A+ to F scale.
