Robert Alberto Pinkerton is a character an a upcoming episode of South Park.

Biography[]

Early life[]

Robert was born in Powhattan, Brown County, Kansas to Almarie Marie (née Santiago) and George Pinkerton on November 29, 1881. Almarie was a hospital nurse, George was a Carpenter. Carlos was the sixth of twelve children, and his family resided in a two-bedroom log cabin built by his father and two uncles. Robert's mother was 24 at the time of his birth and his father was 34. Robert's also had one older maternal half-sister named Imelda de la Cruz born when their mother was 14. Imelda's father was Maria's childhood sweetheart, but he promptly dumped her once he discovered that she was pregnant. Carlos also had three paternal half-siblings, Anthony, Dante, and Lucy, born from his father's previous marriage with a Filipino woman before she died of ptomaine poisoning. He is also related to famous vigilantes and abolitionists Chayton Mukwooru and Adisla Corbeau through his mother's side.

Robert's patrilineal line can be traced to Shean Marcus Pinkerton, who was born in 1576 in Castlewellan, County Down, Northern Ireland.

Robert's paternal grandfather was James Albert Pinkerton (the son of Nathaniel Lucas Pinkerton and Mariah Anderson). James was born in South Carolina. James' family has lived in the United States for many generations; most of James' ancestry traces back to England, but also has small amounts (to varying degrees) of Scottish, Irish, Scots-Irish, German, Austrian, Welsh, French, and Dutch ancestry. Robert's great-grandfather Nathaniel was born in South Carolina, the son of John Pinkerton and Martha Smokes. Robert's great-great-grandmother Martha's paternal grandfather was Conrad Schmuck, who was an Austrian emigrant from Hohenthurn, Villach-Land, Carinthia. Mariah was born in Ohio, the daughter of Bernard Duncan Anderson and Lillian Roberts.

Robert's paternal grandmother was Mariam Louise Neyland (the daughter of Adam Emmanuel Neyland and Eve Adeline Pepper). Mariam was born in Indiana. Adam was born in Virginia, the son of Daniel Alfred Neyland and Keziah Hall. Eve was born in Iowa, the daughter of Isaac Pepper and Minnie Leona Needham. Isaac was the son of Klaus Pepper and Susanne Scheid. Klaus and Susanne were German emigrants. Klaus original surname was Pfeffer, and he was born in Magdeburg. Susanne's family was from Freiburg im Breisgau, Baden-Württemberg.

Robert's maternal grandfather was Raphael "Raph" Santiago (the son of Francisco Angelo Santiago and Beinha Inoa). Raphael was born in California. Francisco was born in Hawaii, the son of Manuel Gonçalves Santiago and Marisol Margarita Fernandes. Manuel and Marisol were Portuguese immigrants who came to Hawaii to labor sugarcane plantations. They were amongst the Portuguese immigrants who came prior to 1878. Manuel was from Câmara de Lobos, Madeira, while Marisol was from Angra do Heroísmo, Terceira Island, Azores. Manuel and Marisol had many children, sixteen to be exact. Their son Francisco feel in love with a girl named Beinha. Beinha was the daughter of Native Hawaiian Clarence Baltimore Inoa, and of Kelly Cheung, who was a Chinese immigrant of Cantonese descent, with her ancestors originating from Zhongshan.

Robert's maternal grandmother was Fannie Naomi Boone (the daughter of Paul Albert Boone and Mary Lee Brooks). Fannie was born in Illinois. Paul was born in Kansas, the son of Spencer Wyatt Boone and Alonza Stewart. Mary was born in Illinois, the daughter of George Frederick Brooks and Sherlyn Holmes.

Robert was raised a strict Roman Catholic. He began his interest in cryonics at a young age. As aforementioned, Robert's childhood home only had two bedrooms, Carlos shared a bed with his younger brother Diego. Diego was Robert's superfetation twin as he was born three weeks after Robert. Robert was socially awkward from childhood and did not make many friends, as they were often weirded out by his nerdy demeanor his ability to absorb new knowledge in short time periods. When he was only seventeen, Robert joined the Marine Corps and served in the Philippine-American War. He returned home with an honorable discharge in 1903.

While serving in the army, Robert then turned his interest with cryogenics into a stellar career. Robert began a career at the cryogenics division at South Park Genetic Engineering Ranch, employing under John Mephesto, all the while serving his country. He earned thousands of dollars in a short time period. He soon became one of the engineering ranch's top researchers. He also earned two master's degrees from University of Michigan, one in physics, and one in mathematics. He later met Alona Pérez, a young woman studying under the astronomy division, with whom he fell in love with. They soon got married on Christmas day at South Park Church, Alona was six months pregnant at the time. Following the marriage, Robert moved in with Alona and relocated to Nebraska. They lived in Bellevue, Nebraska, where they bought a two-story frame Queen Anne style house. Alona then gave birth to Mario three months later. She later gave birth to thirteen other children; Luisa, Leonardo, Rosita, Berto, Arnold, Cynthia, Hugo, Carolina, Rosa, Wanda, Melissa, Isabella and Camila. His family grew to include many grandchildren, great-grandchildren as well as great-great-grandchildren and a host of friends and church members. Robert and Alona's second-to-last born child Isabella was the last child to be born in Bellevue, and while they conceived their youngest daughter Camila there, they relocated to Columbus, Nebraska while Alona was pregnant with her.

Robert at one point studied to become a psychiatrist who specialized in analyzing the criminal mind, where he briefly worked as a psychiatrist at an asylum where he treated inmates. He later became a university professor where he taught physicists, chemistry, and biology. He still continued his work at the South Park Genetic Engineering Ranch, where he lent his talent in cryogenics and would liquefy nitrogen at science demonstrations.

Death[]

One night, while working with his grandson Alphonse at the Genetic Engineering Ranch, he disclosed to the latter that he was tired and had a sore throat, but he felt that it would soon go away. Robert had admitted to Alphonse that he was a long-time chain smoker. Sometime in October, Robert and Alona traveled with Alona's niece Francine to Newark, New Jersey to attend a baby shower for Sheila and Gerald's impending son. They returned to South Park three days later.

Robert was having trouble breathing one night at around 2:00 a.m., and began coughing up a considerable amount of blood. Two hours later, he was taken by taxi to the emergency room at Hell's Pass Hospital, where he underwent chemotherapy. Shortly after admission, Carlos fell into unconsciousness as he suffered cardiac arrest. He was rushed into the intensive care unit. Doctors opened his chest and performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation. After remaining in a coma for several hours, Robert died at 7:22 am.

Robert's funeral was held at St. Ignatius Loyola Church in Denver a week later. After the funeral, his body was cremated and the ashes were given to his family.

Appearance[]

Robert was a man of mixed ethnicity and had fare skin, standing at a height of 6'2 and weighing 194 pounds. He had short black hair and and slightly higher than normal cheekbones, similar to that of a Native American. He also had thick eyebrows and did not have slanted eyes.
