Captain Underpants: The Second Epic Movie is a 2026 computer-animated superhero adventure comedy film that is a direct sequel to Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie (2017) and it stars Ed Helms (as Mr. Krupp/Captain Underpants) Thomas Middleditch, Kevin Hart & Dee-Dee Rescher (as Ms. Ribble/Wedgie Woman) And everyone else that voiced the others from the Netflix series. And we, editors are know where this is going.

Synopsis[]

George, Harold & Captain Underpants are bound to stop the Talking Toilets while there’s also a new threat. The Wedgie Woman, who has built robotic counterparts of the 2 kids themselves. And also destroying the city, will Captain Underpants stop Wedgie Woman from going too far? Or is all of this gonna rot in heck?

  1. There were YT video reviews that said that the sequel is actually better than the first film, while others say that it’s boring & bland.
  2. The marketing for this film is a bit more insane than Wicked (2024). Spawning TikTok videos explaining why this is happening.
  3. Weird Al also made a song for this film, but it’s a catchy remix of the end-credit song from the first film re-titled “Captain Underpants is Back!” and it also has Jack Black singing it.
  4. Weird Al makes a cameo in this film.
  5. PRIME Bottles even had a marketing bottle printing for the sequel
  6. There were Funko pops of George, Harold, Wedgie Woman & The Talking Toilets, while there was a Captain Underpants Funko pop but it was just the 2017 Pop re-packaged.
  7. The characters from the Netflix show are also in this film.
  8. The music playing in the trailers & TV Spots is actually the song “My Heart Beats Like A Drum (Dam Dam Dam)” by ATC.
  9. The actual reviews from critics are mostly positive & some calling it mediocre, while it had an 88% on Rotten Tomatoes.
  10. The film actually breaks the fourth wall, twice.
  11. The film had Greg Heffley parodied/cameo’d in the film.
