Brothers and Monsters is an American animated supernatural comedy television series created by Matt Youngberg, being produced by Nickelodeon Animation Studios and aired on Nickelodeon from March 5th, 2004 until December 11th, 2009.

Synopsis

Three brothers encounter a monster that is able to take them through its dimension where his monster friends hang out in, as they get into various situations.

Characters

Main

  • Dave (voiced by Michael Rosenbaum) - a 17-year old teenage boy who is tough and athletic, though somewhat immature.
  • Kurt (voiced by Quinton Flynn) - a 14-year old teenage boy who is overweight and is rather lazy, as he also enjoys violent video games and movies.
  • Stan (voiced by Grey DeLisle) - a 7-year old little boy who is rather awkward and tends to be the smartest out of the three.
  • Squints (voiced by John DiMaggio) - a goblin who loves to play around, and was the one who encountered the three brothers and is able to take them to his home dimension.

Supporting

  • Slim (voiced by Rodger Bumpass) - a chill slime monster who has been best friends with Squints since elementary school.
  • Daniel and Jeanette (voiced by Corey Burton and Tress MacNeille, respectively) - Dave, Kurt, and Stan's parents, in which the former is chill and optimistic while the latter tends to be paranoid and can sometimes worry excessively about her children.
  • Patricia (voiced by Ashley Johnson) - a skater girl who Dave is enamored with as she loves to do things boys do like skating and dislikes fashion and other girly stuff.
  • Samantha (voiced by Jennifer Hale) - a young girl who is a friend of Dave, Kurt, Stan, and Squints. She was thought to be a normal girl at first until they discover that she hails from a family of witches. [potential love interest to Kurt]
  • Squeal Clawsby (voiced by Khary Payton) - TBD
  • Radical the Iguana (voiced by TBD) - a cool iguana who, despite going to school, does cool stuff like skateboarding and even graffiti. He is the main character of Dave's favorite childhood show, Radical the Iguana.
  • Joan and Johanna (voiced by TBD) - a two-headed monster who often bicker at each other.
  • The Closeted Skeleton (voiced by TBD) - a living skeleton who wouldn't come out of his closet.
  • The Imp (voiced by André Sogliuzzo) - a charismatic imp who likes to hang out in closets.
  • Fogbreath (also voiced by John DiMaggio) - a large creature that can breathe fog.
  • Modulus (voiced by David Kaye) - a muscular ogre who has a substance that can make someone very beautiful or handsome, although the effects would ware off after 8 hours.
  • Ellie (voiced by Tara Strong) - an elf who is an introvert and dislikes being with people, though her personality can change whenever she hears the word, "change."
  • Dora (voiced by Laura Ortiz) - a dryad who is the protector of a forest in Squints' dimension and will turn anyone who has bad intentions for it into a mindless tree.
  • Bobby New (voiced by Daran Norris) - a news reporter who is famous in the city Dave, Kurt, and Stan lives in and talks about several random things.

Antagonists

  • The Red Witch (voiced by Jill Talley) - a young and vicious witch who is rather infamous in Squints' home dimension for her acts as she tries to destroy Squints and the other monsters there, including Dave, Kurt, and Stan.
  • The Ferocious Freaks, consisting of:

    • Stinkmore (voiced by TBD) - TBD

  • The Gold Specter (voiced by Tom Kenny) - a ghost made out of pure gold who loves to haunt people.
  • Jane (voiced by TBD) - an insane teenage girl who had a creepy crush on Dave and stalked him.
  • The Sasquatch (vocal effects by Frank Welker) - a malicious sasquatch who has been terrorizing campers.
  • Xorlopsisus (voiced by Jeffrey Combs) - a talking giant squid-like monster which Dave accidentally reeled up and has kidnapped and attempted to eat him out of anger.
  • Beasticus (voiced by Danny Cooksey) - a man from Europe who was trapped in the monster dimension and after an incident with some supernatural trolls, he stole a potion and drank it to make him more powerful and is now out to slay all monsters, including Squints.
  • The Terror Woods Slasher (voiced by TBD) - a mythical slasher who roams in the forest that people call The Terror Woods. He was thought to be a rumor made up to scare people at first, but he soon turned out to be real.
  • Poultry-Geist (voiced by Charlie Adler) - a ghost chicken who loves to haunt things for the sake of torment. He was revealed to be Squints' arch-rival ever since elementary school.
  • Angelica Paine (voiced by TBD) - TBD
  • Slip and Slide (voiced by TBD and TBD, respectively) - two water demons who see themselves as superior towards each other.
  • Claude (voiced by Kevin Michael Richardson) - an African-American six-year old mad scientist who is a genius and attempts to make Stan look like a failure while also planning on using his inventions to brainwash his classmates to do what he wants them to do.
  • Red King (voiced by René Auberjonois) - a king of a small kingdom who is cold and distant.
    • The Red Warriors (voiced by TBD) - a group of warriors led by Red King who are extremely hostile to intruders.
  • Fright Matt (voiced by TBD) - a goofy teenager who disguised himself as a terrifying, nightmare-causing monster to scare people just for the fun of it.
  • Hot Dog Behemoth (vocal effects by TBD) - a collection of living hot dogs that combine themselves into a shapeshifting monster.
