Boom Blox Switch Deluxe (promoted as "Boom Blox Switch Deluxe: A Steven Spielberg Videogame") is an HD remaster collection of the popular "Boom Blox" games by Electronic Arts. Just like the two Wii games, the Switch version uses motion controls from the joy-cons.

RETURNING FEATURES[]

  • You can enter Up, Right, Down and Left on the D-Pad to bring up the Cheats Menu. The difference is, unlike the Wii version, when you enter a cheat code, autosave isn't disabled.
  • Every level from both games are bundled together in one complete package for single and multiplayer fun.
  • You can use characters and tools from both titles in the level creator

NEW FEATURES[]

  • Boom Bux can be used in "Boom Blox" like in the sequel
  • The level creator's space is now bigger and more enhancive
  • The magnet block can be used and unlocked in-game, rather than go unused
  • Online competitive and cooperative multiplayer
  • Fixed bugs
  • Responsive motion control sensitivity
  • You can download levels online

HOW A SWITCH 2 JOY-CON COULD SUBSTITUTE THE Wii REMOTE AND NUNCHUCK[]

  • holding the joy-con like a Wii remote (not in mouse control mode), the A/right button could be selecting/targeting
  • in create mode, when a player determines what position they want to work and play in; Holding the B/down button, and moving the joy-con's joystick could be used to zoom in and zoom out
  • Holding the SR button while moving the joy-con's joystick could be the hand gesture of looking around
  • Holding the SL button while moving the joy-con's joystick could be used to move up and down vertically
  • Undo could be the Y/left  button, and redo could be the X/up button
  • pausing and continuing could be -/+ buttons

THE BAD NEWS[]

  • Remapping the Wii's motion controls for the Switch 2's Joy-Cons would require extensive development and testing
  • If EA chooses to add new levels, characters, or online multiplayer which was absent in the original Wii version—the cost would increase substantially

Even though we miss Boom Blox Bash Party, it'll be way more challenging than just doing a written or verbal request to motivate EA to let it make its return on the Switch 2: Motivating them to grant a wish like that one will require an incredibly powerful move!

THE GOOD NEWS[]

Speculating that tons of people who miss Boom Blox Bash Party want it to make its return, we can do press releases with QR codes that take people to the motivative articles and videos that we create; and that might help us form a big enough assemblage of people, to make EA realize that not sustaining this game for Nintendo's future consoles was a huge mistake. Then with our fingers crossed, Boom Blox Bash Party might finally become a Switch game!
