Blood Lust is an American adventure-horror video game. It is developed by Rocksteady Studios and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, being released for PC, Mac, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Sega Orion on October 31st, 2019.

Synopsis

Elizabeth Cross has been a vampire for over multiple centuries as she is now forced on a path of vengeance when the man who forced her into being a vampire has returned.

Characters

Main

• Elizabeth Cross (voiced by Olivia Hack) - a centuries old vampire who has been sucking blood to survive as she soon learns that the man who vamprizied her as returned.

Supporting

• Vanessa Florian (voiced by Ashley Johnson) - one of Elizabeth's few friends who is also a vampiress as she tries to help her out when possible.
• Matthew Christian (voiced by Yuri Lowenthal) - an agent of a supernatural agency who discovers Elizabeth as he reluctantly gives her information to stop Hans.

Antagonists

• Hans Van Tepes (voiced by Troy Baker) - a charismatic vampire king who has a very flamboyant personality as he is the one who made Elizabeth a vampire as he has returned to create the ultimate vampire uprising.
  • Alexander Cain (voiced by Josh Keaton) - one of Hans' trusted generals who is in charge of a massive casino and is extremely cocky.
    • Becky Walters and Valerie Marston (voiced by Laura Bailey and Mae Whitman, respectively) - Cain's two henchwomen and brides who both are loyal and in love with their boss and are willing to do anything for him.
  • Francesca Petrolli (voiced by Grey Griffin) - one of Hans' generals who is a vampiric mafia boss as she has control over various criminal operations.
    • Giovanni (voiced by John DiMaggio) - a massive beast of a man who is Francesca's prime enforcer as he is extremely strong.
  • Blood and Lust (voiced by TBD and TBD, respectively) - two ferocious werewolves who despise vampires and have been wanting to kill them and feast on their flesh, including Elizabeth, making a reluctant alliance with Hans due to him promising them vampires.

Abilities

• Mist Form - the most common stealth technique of Elizabeth which allows her to temporarily become mist.
  • Longer Mist - an upgrade of the Mist ability which makes it last longer.
• Punch - Elizabeth punches her enemy with a bit more strength than the average human.
• Blood Suck - an extremely common and necessary function where Elizabeth sucks the blood of her victim and fills a bit of the Blood gauge.
• Shadow Claws - Elizabeth summons two claws made out of night energy and uses them to attack enemies.
  • Multiclaws - an upgrade of the Shadow Claw ability which allows Elizabeth to summon two more claws on top the two previous ones.

Gameplay

The game plays as an open world parkour game with a mixed emphasis on stealth and action. The game has a splitting story where you can chase multiple "leads"/story arcs at once. The game has a blood gauge as when it gets low, your health starts to drain. How you get it back is by sucking the blood of NPCs. There is a chance that the NPC you suck becomes a vampire as you would later have to eliminate them due to them needing to target blood too. The game has a skill tree which you can use to upgrade vampiric abilities such as attacks, means of stealth and stuff like health and blood. The game has various side content including side missions, the aforementioned vampire NPC mechanic, citywide challenges to test your abilities, TBD. The game is set in a massive city which is split into four smaller islands which you can explore.

• Vampires have to suck blood as it can either kill the victim or turn them into a vampire.
• Vampires can walk in sunlight.
• Vampires can retract their fangs.
• Vampires are immune to both garlic and stakes.
• Vampires are able to control darkness itself into making some constructs.
