Ben 10: Protector of Bellwood is an American action-adventure-science fiction-comedy comic book series based on the Ben 10 franchise, being published by DC Comics since October 13th, 2020.

Synopsis

Set after the events of Omniverse, Ben protects Bellwood and Earth from both new and old threats with the help of new aliens in the Omnitrix.

Characters

Main

Ben Tennyson - a rather carefree but heroic teenager who wields a device known as the Omnitrix as he uses it to battle various threats to Bellwood, even if he sometimes prefers to slack off.
Gwen Tennyson - Ben's intelligent but snarky cousin who he has a love-hate relationship with as she is capable of using cosmic energy to sometimes help Ben fight evil.
Kevin Levin - Ben's rather chill former rival turned close friend and Gwen's love interest who has the ability of absorbing materials and using it to power himself up.
Rook Blonko - Ben's stoic partner turned best friend who is usually the voice of the reason for his somewhat crazy shenanigans as he usually tries to make sure he keeps away from trouble.
Max Tennyson - Ben and Gwen's friendly grandfather who is part of an intergalactic organization known as the Plumbers and helps them and their friends out whenever they need it.

Hex - a mysterious and calm wizard who has relapsed back into evil and wants to use Gwen as a weapon.

Issues

Just A Normal Day - Ben has been recently getting bored with hero work as it usually ends up being similar as things change when Vilgax comes to settle the score.
Girl Fight - Sunny has returned under the guise of being calmer and less bratty as everyone buys it except for Gwen. Her suspicions turn out to be true when it turns out Sunny wants to steal everything Gwen has.
A Very Vreedle Day - Ben learns that the Omnitrix has the DNA of a Vreedle as he is originally terrified but soon has to use it to infiltrate the Vreedles when they are planning something big. Introduced Alien: Decagon Vreedle.
An Out of Body Experience - After a victory against Doctor Animo, his device is still online and swaps Ben and Gwen's bodies as Gwen, in Ben's body, must both find Ben, who is in her body, and figure out how to be brought back to normal.
A Mindful Battle - One of Ben's forgotten enemies Sublimino returns and uses mind control to turn all of Ben's friends, except for Max, against him as both he and Max must fend off against the mind controlled versions of their friends.
Power Struggle - The Forever King has declared a full on war against the Plumbers as Ben has to stop his plans.
The Creature in Room 13 - Ben hears rumors of a monster that resides in an unfortunately named Hotel room known as Room 13 as soon he learns it is a trap set by Kraab for him to finally settle the score between them.
Cybernetic Evolution - Michael Morningstar has returned and is now far more robotic as he has arrived to fully drain Ben's energy so he doesn't need his enhancements anymore.
A Day Off - Ben decides to take a day off as that turns out to be a bad move when Billy Billions arrives intending to destroy Ben.
Charmed - Charmcaster uses her magic to bewitch Kevin into becoming Ultimate Kevin again as Ben, Gwen and Rook must free Kevin and see what Charmcaster and Hex are planning.
Enslaved to the Hive - The Nanochips have returned and has enslaved everyone in Bellwood except for Ben, Kevin, a remorseful Victor and surprisingly Julie as the four of them have to work together to stop whatever Elena is planning.
Love Chaos - Ben's love life has caught up to him as he is trying to mend his relationship with Julie, Kai, Emily and Eunice are all flirting with him and to make things even more awkward: Jennifer Nocturne has returned and is working with Captain Nemesis for something big.
You've Been a Naughty Girl - Hex has successfully captured Gwen and has conditioned her into becoming his new apprentice as Ben must free his cousin.
Egads! It's Poison! - Billy Billions has given Ben a poison that is slowly killing him as Ben is forced to do three tasks for Billy or else he will die.
Graveyard Shift at the Mall - Ben finally gets a job at the Bellwood Mall as a security guard as Zombozo has invaded the mall in order to conjure an army of zombies from the mall.
WiFi Chaos - Everyone who has been using a phone has been brainwashed as surprisingly Max and Rook are the only ones who can save the world.
Captain Jupiter and Lady Saturn - Ben encounters two new heroes known as Captain Jupiter and Lady Saturn but soon they turn out to be very familiar villains.
Without A Mind - After a battle with Animo, Gwen gets hit with a Ray and becomes extremely dumb and idiotic as Ben must find a way to bring her back to normal.
Slave to Mom - A new villain called Mom has arrived in Bellwood and has been transforming the teenagers into her mindless children as Ben, Max and Rook have to stop her.

Trivia

The series keeps Omniverse's artstyle and its blend of action and comedy.
- However, Gwen reverted back to her initial design more akin to Alien Force/Ultimate Alien due to the writers believing that she looked better with the longer hair in a ponytail and without glasses.
