Tropes[]

Awesome Moments[]

  • While not shown, Doctor Doom slaughtered a good ass chunk of TVA's minutemen,
  • Johnny Storm putting up a good fight against Doctor Doom and Beyonder before getting overwhelmed.
  • Young Avengers gave Galactus a fight of his life before getting captured.
  • Kamala Khan gets the X-Men and The Fantastic Four to play nice with each other.

Tearjerker[]

  • Shuri, Peter Parker and Kate Bishop has to relive some of their painful memories after getting separated and affected by the spores.
    • Shuri and Parker's painful memories are the worst parts since they both lost important people in their life (For Peter, Tony Stark and Shuri, her whole family).
  • H.E.R.B.I.E's sacrifice himself to get Johnny Storm to safety before Doom destroyed him.

What Do You Mean It's Not Symbolic[]

  • The conflict between the Fantastic Four and X-Men is a clear representation of the ongoing John Walker and Sam Wilson discourse (The Fantastic Four represents Sam Wilson Captain America camp while X-Men represents John Walker Captain America camp)

Creator-Driven Successor[]

  • Elton John and Tim Rice has also worked on The Road to El Dorado (2000) which involves individuals (Tuilo & Miguel and Young Avengers) being mistaken for literal gods of a hidden civilization (El Dorado and Thaloria).

Hilarious in Hindsight[]

Spiritual Successor[]

  • The subplot involving Young Avengers and The Dhaka Tribe is about as closest that you'll ever get to a live-action Road to El Dorado, Bonus points for having Rosie Perez, Elton John and Tim Rice returned.
  • The ending is similar to Avengers: Infinity War, but instead of the heroes dying, the villains (aside from Dr. Doom) are the one who bite the bullet.
  • Some even say this a God of War movie in terms of scale and scope of giant characters and monsters, Having Bear McCreary and Christopher Judge in it clearly does the trick.
    • Shuri's upgraded Vibranium Gauntlets resembles Nemean Cestus used by both Kratos and Hercules in God of War III (2010).

Triva[]

  • It's the first major Young Avengers/X-Men and Fantastic Four crossover in the TMUN!!! (The Marvel Universe NOW!!!).
  • The Dhaka Tribe and Thaloria are based on Mesoamerican and African cultures.
  • Latervia of The Void are based off on Spanish conquistadors.
  • This is the only first Marvel Universe NOW!!! movie to take place entirely at the Void and it expand to more than just a junkyard.
  • Hailee Steinfeld, Jack O'Connell and Delroy Lindo previously worked on Sinners (2025).
  • Coincidentally, the first X-Men film and The Road to El Dorado were both released in 2000.
