Battletoads is an upcoming computer-animated superhero film based on the video game series of the same name created by the Stamper brothers. the fourth Roland Emmerich animated film. A film adaptation of the Battletoads series. German director and producer Roland Emmerich and Mexican cartoonist and animator Zack Isaac in the film. from a screenplay and story written by Emmerich, Isaac, Kevin Johnson, Michael Schwartz, Luis Antonio González Ávalos, Jordan Katz and John Murphy. The film starring the voice cast including Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans and Chris Hemsworth as Zitz, Rash and Pimple (Battletoads). the animated film was announced, with Emmerich and Isaac producing through their companies, Centropolis Entertainment from Germany and Little Witch Pictures from Mexico. The animation was provided by Little Witch Pictures in animated entirely in-house in their the Fe Victoriosa building in Nichupté avenue with based in located by Cancún and made in Mexico. The film was released by Lionsgate in the United States and distributed by Universal Pictures in some other select countries. It was the last Little Witch Pictures film to be distributed by Lionsgate.

Development[]
Lionsgate and Amblin Partners announced to the Battletoads animated film. Roland Emmerich was decided upon, and Zack Isaac joined the project soon after. It was developing a computer-animated Battletoads film for Lionsgate and Universal Pictures. Emmerich and Isaac produced through their multinational production companies, Centropolis Entertainment in Berlin, Germany and Little Witch Pictures in Cancún, Mexico.

Emmerich and Isaac revealed that actors Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans and Chris Hemsworth as the Battletoads. and other cast members revealed in their respective roles.
Character design[]
The character designed by Zack Isaac to look different from what was expected from an animated film. The cartoonist's aim was to make it heavily resemble the concept art. He was inspired by sketches he made notebooks.

Battletoads was animated by Little Witch Pictures in Cancún, Quintana Roo, Mexico.
Music[]
Roland Emmerich and Zack Isaac was announced that the score was composed by Hans Zimmer and Harald Kloser.

Sequel[]
a month before the film was released, Zack Isaac said that he would love to do a sequel. Little Witch Pictures officially confirmed a sequel with a release animated film. Lionsgate had no involvement in the first film. Universal Pictures took over the rights in Zack Isaac's Battletoads universe.
Television series[]
Alongside the film sequel announcement, a two-season 2D animated television series follow-up for Netflix, titled Rise of the Battletoads, was announced. Zack Isaac were announced as a executive producer.
