Batman Escapes is the eleventh story arc in DC Comics Batman '89 ongoing series. It is a follow up to Batman Strikes, serving as a continuation of the Tim Burton Batman movies, carrying the gothic tone, and narrative style, and as the thirteenth and penultimate installment of the Tim Burton Batman Saga. It is followed by Batman Ends.

Batman's identity has been revealed, and is wanted for a murder which he didn't commit. Now nowhere in Gotham is safe for him, not even the Batcave. Left without his base, or vehicles, he finds refuge with a young man named Duke Thomas. From there, he must locate the real culprit, a mysterious figure who goes only by the name Hush, as well as a brutal criminal known as Black Mask. As he desperately works to clear his name, Bruce Wayne discovers that both these men are figures from his past who have come back to haunt him. At the same time, Bruce discovers he has a son.
