Batman Beyond is an upcoming American crime thriller film directed by Tim Burton and based on the DC Comics series of the same name. It's a sequel to Batman Returns (1992) and the third installment of the Burton Batman film series. Michael Keaton and Michelle Pfeiffer reprised their roles from the previous movies with Marlon Wayans, Johnny Depp, Mila Kunis and Colin Farrell joining them playing new characters.
Synopsis[]
One year after the events of Batman Returns, Batman and Catwoman rescued Robin, that was kidnapped and tortured by a new Joker (that was inspired by the late Jack Napier) and his "girlfriend" Harley Quinn (illegitimate daughter of Napier). Mentally broken Robin killed Joker and regained his mental sanity thanks to the help of the people close to him.
In the present day, a retired and old Bruce Wayne, now happily married to a retired Selina Kyle, meets a brilliant boy named Terry McGinnis and decides to train him to become the next Batman. However, the training is interrupted when the Joker comes back to life thanks to him putting his own consciouness into a chip on Dick's neck before he died which allows him to take control of the body of the latter and uses it to have his revenge on Bruce and everyone he loves.

- Colin Farrell as Dick Grayson / Robin, a quiet worker that as a kid joined Batman as the young vigilante Robin but retired when Joker kidnapped and tortured him.
