Batman: Arkham Asylum is an American superhero film based on the video game of the same name with elements of the comic book story Arkham Asylum: A Serious House on Serious Earth by Grant Morrison and Dave McKean which the game was loosely based on, and set within the DC Cinematic Universe. The film is directed by Ben Affleck, who also reprises the role of Batman/Bruce Wayne, with a screenplay written by Geoff Johns and Paul Dini. The cast includes Affleck, Jared Leto, Margot Robbie, Ben Whishaw, Sharlto Copley, Eva Green, Javier Bardem, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Robert Knepper, Jeremy Irons, J.K. Simmons and Jane Levy. The film will be released on July 26th, 2019.

Plot[]

On a routine trip returning The Joker to Arkham Asylum, Batman must deal with traps set within its inner sanctums, purposely set by the now escaped Joker, along with a number of villains from his rogues' gallery that are now free within the premises as The Dark Knight must now prepare for the deadliest night of he's life.
