Balto is a 2028 American 3D computer-animated adventure comedy film directed by Yarrow Cheney and Chris Wedge and written by Cinco Paul and Ken Daurio. Produced by Illumination, the film is a reboot of Universal's franchise of the same name and stars John Goodman as the title character alongside Steve Buscemi, Robert Redford, Jake Johnson, Amanda Seyfried, Will Ferrell, Jonah Hill, Danny Mann, Rick Moranis, and Dave Thomas. In the film, a young wolf named Balto enters a dogsled race in order to save a young boy named Robin from death via sickness. The film was released on June 2, 2028, by Universal Pictures.
