The film starts with Kapp'n driving the bus. Rover is then shown talking to a person and asks the person what is his name. The person answers "Raide", and then says to him "it's cool", which means it's a boy. Rover then gives Raide at least three questions and the boy answers two "A" choices and one "B" choice. Rover asks Raide to name a destination, and Raide does it. The bus stops for the destination. Raide is so excited to enjoy and live in the "animal village". Raide sees Ai and greets her, but suddenly hears Tom Nook calling him, Tom Nook arrives and greets Raide and gives him his information. Tom Nook lets Raide choose a house. Raide chooses a house and tells Tom Nook that he likes it. He then pays Tom Nook 1,000 bells, but Tom Nook realizes that it's not enough. Tom Nook then asks Raide to come into Nookingtons' to recieve jobs. Raide then goes to the Town Hall to meet Pelly, Phyllis, and Tortimer. They greet him but except Phyllis (who is mean to every villager). Raide hurries to Tom Nook's shop and Tom Nook gives hm at least six jobs. Raide has done them, and so, Tom Nook allows him to shop and also still keep working like what Raide did. Tom Nook introduces Raide to Timmy and Tommy, the twins. Raide browses and shops for a while, then out of the shop, he is able to play and talk with his friends, catch fish and bugs, dig fossils, and make money. The next day, Resetti pops out and converses with Raide. Raide continues to enjoy the fun with his friends, go to the city, greet his friends again, and then writes letters to his parents and his friends in his house. He then plays with his friends again and again until the day ends. At night, K.K. arrives and Raide asks him to play "K.K. Western". K.K. plays the song, and everybody then cheers. Raide is now ought to socialize with his friends. He then takes Roald to his house for a sleepover. Raide's parents arrive at his house and they get interested with Raide socializing with Roald.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is a new suggested Animal Crossing anime TV series based on the 2020 game of the same name which will air in both English and Japanese.

  • Mitchell (Ramon Evangelista) is the first human village to move to the Animal Island of the Northern Hemisphere. He loves to make friends with others and do favors for them even when he sometimes feels doesn't like it. Though he is a good sport in tournaments, he can get a little frustrated inside, even in private. Overall, he never rushes things.
  • Roald (Huck Milner) - a jock penguin who is one of Mitchell's best friends.
  • Bill (Ben Durocher) - a jock duck who is one of Mitchell's best friends who likes to play sports and work out with him and Roald.
  • Hamlet (Tara Strong) is a jock hamster who becomes best friends with Mitchell and acts like a son to him.
  • Dom (Rob Paulsen) is a jock sheep.
  • Rachel (Rachel Hirschfeld) is Mitchell's cheerful girlfriend.
