AnimalTales is a Christian parody of VeggieTales.
The idea for AnimalTales was conceived in the early 2020s when Eley Victor was testing animation software to use as a medium for children's videos. Due to the limitations of Softimage 3D at the time, she decided to avoid the technical production hurdle of designing characters with arms, legs, hair, and clothes. Her first animation model was an anthropomorphic broccoli. When her husband Leo suggested that parents might prefer a hero who promoted a bit more sense and cuteness, she began designing the characters based on Littlest Pet Shop Your World.
