She is a 7-year-old Brazilian-Middle Eastern girl who was born in Saudi Arabia and now lives in the city of Belo Horizonte. Amy's creation dates back to April 12th, 1955, when she was originally brought to life by the talented Brazilian cartoonist, Alana Ferreira de Andrade. Initially, the character was envisioned as "Ana" and featured blonde hair and blue eyes. However, on November 19th, 1955, the decision was made to transform Ana's appearance, giving her brown hair and eyes instead. This alteration added a distinct charm to her character.

Throughout the years, Amy's design has undergone further refinements. In 1973, her character underwent a significant redesign, resulting in the appearance that is widely recognized today. Amy now sports a signature outfit that perfectly complements her personality and adventures.
