Respect your elders.
~ Alpha Trion, Exiles
What defines a Transformer is not the cog in its chest. But the spark that resides in their core.
~ Alpha Trion to Orion Pax, D-16, Elita, and B-127; Transformers One (2024)

Alpha Trion is a fictional character and overreaching protagonist in the Transformers franchise.

In many continuities, he is the oldest Autobot, one of the original creations of the Cybertronian super-computer Vector Sigma. He was once known as A3 in his earliest days. Trion was also the guardian of the Matrix of Leadership when it had no bearer and was the one who reanimated a dying Orion Pax into Optimus Prime, as well as a wounded Ariel into Elita-One. He sacrificed himself so that the newly created Aerialbots could be given life. His body is lifeless, but his spirit remains in Vector Sigma as well as in the Autobot Matrix of Leadership. He was later seen as a ghost in Transformers Headmasters. Other continuities such as Transformers One (2024) depict him as one of the 13 original Primes.
