Alan Anthony Silvestri (born March 26, 1950) is an American composer, conductor, orchestrator and music producer who works primarily in film and television, best known for his frequent collaboration with friend Robert Zemeckis; including composing major hit films such as the Back to the Future trilogy, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, and Forrest Gump. Outside of Zemeckis' work, he has also composed four films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Shawn Levy's Night at the Museum trilogy and the Zemeckis' director's cut of a Disney remake to the original classic, Pinocchio.
