In 2001 It was reported Alcon Entertainment was developing a animated feature titled ''Silver Knight" (The film's former name in development) with Warner Bros distributing it as per most Alcon productions the film was also produced by Tom Hank's production company PlayTone with Animal Logic providing animation services for the CGI animation the film was reported to star Nicolas Cage Tom Hanks Will Arnett Robin Williams and Elijah Woods the film is Alcon Entertainment's first animated film the film needed an enormous group of computers for the animation and Animal Logic worked with IBM to build a server farm with sufficient processing potential. The film took four years to make. Lighting Supervisor and VFX Department Supervisor Ben Gunsberger said that this was partly because they needed to build new infrastructure and tools. script rewrites where also done
