A Hero’s Destiny (known as AHD for short) is a video game franchise that has been a cultural phenomenon since the beginning. Its first game was originally going to release on the Nintendo GameCube, but PlayStation bought the idea. It was set to release in Japan for the PlayStation 1 with the name “Lance And The Legend Of The Black Dragon” (ランスと黒竜の伝説) in Japanese. But the game sadly was rejected because it was “too long to complete”. But 2 years later the idea was accepted by the name “A Hero’s Destiny” (英雄の運命) in Japanese. Sometime around 2003 and 2005, Nintendo bought the franchise and modified it a little bit.

Popularity[]

Since the first game in 1999, the game has been one of the most popular and successful games in gaming history. One of the reasons is that in the 2024 movie, inside out 2, the protagonist of the franchise appeared as a secret. He also appears in games such as: Super Smash Bros Revolution, the Battle Brawl 7 franchise and as a costume in the Dog Boxing games. He also appears in series, movies and comics.

Battle Brawl 7[]

Some characters appear in the franchise. They also have a lot of references to their games in their moveset. In the story mode, they are some of the characters who has been captured by and brain washed by Mishka.

Inside Out 2[]

In Inside Out 2, the main character, Lance Slashblade appeared in the movie as one of Riley’s secrets. He is the only character in the vault who is a human. His appearance resembles his appearance since A Hero’s Destiny: The Missing Pieces. He is Disgust’s “crush”. Lance acts like a melodramatic character. He longs to be a hero, but darkness haunts his past. The game where he appears (according to the film) is Battle Brawl 7, which is obviously not true. But, he helps the emotions escape.

Lance Slashblade[]

He is the main character in the franchise that also is Biko’s bravest warrior. He is also the owner of the Holy Blade. His name means the fact that his father was the original owner of the Holy Blade and that his son will later become the Blade’s owner. He originally had his hair down, but they changed it because he didn’t look that good with his hair down.
