A-1 Pictures Inc. (Japanese: 株式会社A-1 Pictures, Hepburn: Kabushiki gaisha Ē-wan Pikuchāzu) is a Japanese animation studio founded by ex-Sunrise producer Mikihiro Iwata and it is a subsidiary of Sony Music Entertainment Japan's anime production firm Aniplex.
A-1 Pictures has been known for producing many anime series and films since its formation in 2005. Notable examples include Sword Art Online, Fairy Tail, The Seven Deadly Sins, Blue Exorcist, Magi, Your Lie in April, Black Butler, and more recently Solo Leveling.
