25 Words or Less: The Video Game is an upcoming video game for the Nintendo Switch by Ubisoft with the help of Idea Factory and Compile Heart. The game will be given a T rating for mild fantasy violence and language. There are two modes for the game: Game Show Mode and Story Mode. Single Player gameplay has both modes while Multiplayer gameplay only has Game Show Mode.
Game Show Mode (Loni, Courtney, and Melissa required): The player can make his/her own avatar, and can select 2 of their favorite celebrities (Mary, Lisa, Courtney, Loni, Melissa, and Dan by default). To unlock more celebrities, the player must complete certain stages in Story Mode. To play the game, the player must choose the right answer from a selection of multiple words when they are not giving clues. If the player gives the clue words, then they will choose the word that best describes the answer. This gameplay mode is similar to the TV show.
Story Mode (Single Player only): You play as Meredith (the host). The opening cutscene goes through a revised version of the story of Meredith's life. Towards the end of the story, it is revealed that the celebrities have gone missing, and it's up to Meredith to rescue them, leaving Mary, Lisa, and Dan in charge.

Trivia and References:
Meredith and Usagi share the same voice actor (Stephanie Sheh) in the game.
Even if she is an NPC, Star Jones did appear in the game when Meredith tries to save Melissa in the Chemical Plant.
After unlocking Carson in the DLC pack, he will say, "This plane is going to Miami!" A reference to Family Guy when the plane gets gayjacked.
The prizes in Game Show Mode are not real money, but the opponent in Single Player gameplay will leave with nothing. The prize for the bonus round is 1000 tokens, which can be useful to unlock items while editing your avatar.
The levels in Story Mode are referred to the Sonic the Hedgehog games.
The Event celebrities can be permanently selective once the player participates in the event by playing the Puyo Puyo mini game.
In Story Mode, the player can select two celebrities before Game Show Mode and Multiplayer can be unlocked.
Rei Hino (Sailor Mars) is the final boss in Story Mode, but at the opening cutscene, she sang Other Friends, which refers to the Steven Universe movie.
