20th Century Fox also known as Twentieth Century Fox Film Corporation is an American film production and distribution company that is a subsidiary of Fox Entertainment Group, a division of News Corporation. The studio is located at the Fox Studio Lot Building 88, 10201 West Pico Boulevard, Century City, Los Angeles, California

For over 80 years – beginning with its founding in 1935, 20th Century Fox was one of the then "Big Six" major American film studios. It was formed in 1935 from the merger of the Fox Film Corporation and Twentieth Century Pictures and was originally known as the Twentieth Century-Fox Film Corporation (while owned by TCF Holdings) as one of the original Big Five among eight majors of Hollywood's Golden Age. In 1985, the studio removed the hyphen in the name and renamed as Twentieth Century Fox Film Corporation, after being acquired by Rupert Murdoch’s News Corporation.
